Hypothetical if Jake Guentzel resigns with canes. Why not go after Sam Reinhart local kid. If heās available in July 1. Sam Reinhart gonna get paid regardless.

If the Nucks get him? Hurray, but as a Canucks fan I am very much use to not getting the good free agents (who don't end up just being a temp/rental)

The Canes will sign him if the price dosn't get stupid. I think Florida might have teams thinking they need to get more physical.
It's up to Jake to leave or take. He knows the Canucks are warming up š the team for better results.
If this is a play for Jake to get more money from Van, then Van should move on, just saying
Toffoli and Bertuzzi combined would be about Guentzelās cap hit. Hopefully they find out before July 1st at where Guentzel stands and have offers in place for these two guys if it doesnāt work out.
