It has been a crazy few days around the NHL and your hosts have a mountain of content to sift through in today’s show!
First up, former Habs captain Shea Weber was announced as one of the latest inductees into the Hockey Hall of Fame, despite still having two years left on his current NHL contract. Scott and Laura discuss his time in Montreal and the accolades that led to his induction. Scott also has A LOT of questions about some of the other inductees, which means it’s time for a rant.
Speaking of big news though, the Florida Panthers are Stanley Cup champions for the first time in franchise history! Scott and Laura take a short victory lap for getting their Finals predictions right, and discuss what lessons could be learned from this series.
Finally, the Atlantic Division in the midst of the Panthers’ celebration have decided to go buckwild in the trade market. The hosts discuss the moves made by the Red Wings, Senators and Bruins and how they might impact the Montreal Canadiens this upcoming season.
