  1. The eastern conference runs through the state of florida. Either the lightning or the panthers made the cup finals the last five seasons, winning three of the five

  2. I still remember how loud that Miami Arena used to be during that 96 run… Forever a Panthers Fan !!

  3. Pretty crazy! I always stand by this; that Florida is the best state in the country. The people are as Americana as you can be. They believe in protecting their kids, taking care of their families, law and order, and working hard to achieve the American dream.

  4. I was happy for Roberto Luongo after never getting The Cup in his playing days, losing a game 7 with the Canucks, finally getting to hoist it. You could see years of stress lift from his face in his postgame interview.

  5. Thanks for the hockey talk. Great seeing both Florida teams gain hockey support and growth over the years. I remember seeing Panthers games empty and thinking should they be relocated. They got a winning team built up and its paid off. Congrats to the Panthers. All around great team and coach.

  6. You guys seem star-struck by the Stanley Cup and we don't even get 10 minutes about hockey and the Championship? Bummer.

As a Flames fan, I couldn't be happier for the Panthers, and the POS Oilers…

  7. Miami joins a rather exclusive club with this Stanley Cuo win: they join the list of cities who have won major championships in all of the four major men’s team sports.

It’s a short list, too: Boston, Chicago, New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, Washington, and now Miami – with an honourable mention to Toronto who has the most Grey Cup victories in the Canadian Football League’s history. Those stories would make a great book considering some of the superstars in all major sports who played on all those teams.

  8. The Stanley Cup Playoffs are a fucking grind for a players and for a fans. The ups and downs, momentum shifts, overtimes etc. When Pens lost the finals in '08 i was absolutely devastated, two months and you end up with nothing. And then when they won in 2009… best summer of my life. It feels like YOU won it, even though you were just watching it on a screen on the other side of the Earth. That feeling when clock strikes 0:00… Unreal. Cherish it, Panthers fans, you just never know if and when it will happen again.

  9. Great job Rich… Thank you for not missing the amazing story that is the Florida Panthers… and Paul Maurice's story and speech.

  10. We got the cup and since we’re Floridians .. we literally don’t know what to do with it
Welp .. In the ocean it goes

  11. He's the reason they did not crumble in game 7 after losing all the momentum and their confidence from games 4-6. He was even keel in every press conference leading up to game 7. He genuinely believed in his boys and I'm sure that was the difference maker for all of them.

  12. Thanks for decent coverage Steve. Can’t say the same for ESPNs coverage of the Panthers. Pathetic homers

  13. Rich constantly bringing up opposing fans in the crowd when he talks about games. Who cares? Are you a sports fan or a teenage girl worried about popularity contests?

  14. A lot of dirtbaggery by the Oilers. Relying on their power play and the officials refusing to assign majors. Note, it was their grinders that provided most of their game deciding goals. They are lucky to get as far as they did. Also, who can honestly say that McDavid was the most valuable player in this series??? Bobrovsky was the backbone of this Panthers Team in every series.

  15. I’m a fan of another team that did not make the playoffs. I’ve been listening as it’s better that way listening to Doug what a treat plus Bill. Now I am happy to say big fan of the Panthers you did it when so many were saying EDM would win I don’t think so game over. Enjoy your much deserved hoist of your Cup🏒🥅

  16. I loved Coach' Maurice's comment "We had to lose 3 to learn how to win 4!" Panthers fan since 1996 and I may or may not have cried when the game clock hit 0:00 last night! And for a totally different reason than last year! 🙂

  17. These past 24-36 hours of flapping heads has made me realize how many incompetent people are talking hockey after this cup. From Rich to Shannon sharpe to Steven A. It’s ridiculous

  18. Thank you Rich. We deserve it. We've suffered enough. Now…we're a championship town in the NHL!

  19. Panthers were never a laughingstock, they just weren't relevant. It would take centuries to find a better example of a laughing stock team than the Leafs.
