Anyone drafted by the leafs wont have an impact for 3-4 years at the earliest.

I wonder how long before we see a shift in traditional draft thinking? It has always been assumed that the default position is to draft the best player available (BPA) when it is your team's turn to pick …but is this still true?
With the premium in recent years placed on large and mobile right shooting defenders is that not the new BPA? When it is considered that every team in the NHL is looking for righties should that reality be considered when making draft selections…or even become a priority?
If the Leafs draft another Forward, I'd like to see them draft Dean Letourneau. 6'7 220 + lbs smooth skating center compared to Tage Thompson. A bit of a project. Or I'd like to see EJ Emery big right shot dman or d if possible Adam Jiricek.
So trade Minten and replace him with a lesser player. How about keep Minten and draft a defenceman?

I like Marek Vanacker for the Leafs at 23. Jack Pridham is 3rd rounder, hopefully Leafs can add a 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Hopefully they can trade Lilgren, Robertson and Jarnkrok for picks.
