HOW A POTENTIAL EXTENSION FOR DRAISAITL WOULD IMPACT THE REST OF THE OILERS

Does losing in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final make Leon Draisaitl more or less likely to re-sign in Edmonton? How much will Draisaitl’s decision impact Connor McDavid’s future with the Oilers? TSN Hockey analyst Frankie Corrado joins 7-Eleven That’s Hockey to discuss.

  1. I mean let's be real here. L.D. will command 13 millions a year, Mcdavid13 at least, Bouchard 7.5 millions, then R.NH at almost 7 millions. The Oilers will have like the Maple Leafs half their cap space in 4 players. If this core wants to win the cup they will have to take cap friendly contracts to sign other good players to support them. It's money or cup

  2. they cant afford mcdavid, drai and bouch the way things are now. not saying it cant happen but a lot of moves are needed to make room

  3. My own idea. Trade Leon Draisaitl for Brady Tkachuk. German Leon Draisaitl can play with German Tim Stutzle in Ottawa. Brady Tkachuk only makes $8.205 AAV. Draisaitl might be McDavids bestie but he ruins the cap in a world of reality. Brady Tkacuk frees up the cap to build a team.
