Darius I hear you, but i feel if they do sign him to 4 years, I feel it's because they want to win a cup if not more in that time and it would be in sync with Matthews contracts runs out at the same time roughly. I'm pretty sure it was a 4 year deal for our top star. So Tanev would be apart of that new look lineup all to get that cup before Matthews deal is up so they can prove they can win there and hopefully re sign him.

I like tanev for maybe 2 years. He's been a great defensive d man. Yea he's older but played great last season. Hopefully he stays healthy if leafs pick him up

If they front load the money he shouldn't cost much to move down the line, and that's assuming he doesn't just end up on LTIR eventually.
Yeah I don’t want him for 4-5 years no thanks he’s playing a lot of hockey and he’s played a physical game all his life so he’s an older player then 34. He will help for a few years but try to get him for 2-3 years would be mint. I also hope that’s not all they get . Pesche or montour should be at the top of there list
