    Even if Linus don’t sign an extension it’s still a win for Ottawa just getting rid of korpasllo control is massive even with the 25% retained

    Fun fact: Yes, Ottawa allowed 22 goals on the first 2 shots of the game, but that actually represented just 21 games as there was one game where they allowed a goal on both of the first 2 shots.

    I don't think that the sens can afford to bring back Konecny or Farabee. They have 11.3 M in cap space and they can bump it to 12M with a Hamonic buyout. That probably has to get alocated as follows:

    4M for pinto
    3M for fourth line
    4M for third pair (Branstrom plus another 2M player, might be able to get down to 3M if you think Kleven is ready)
    2M for middle six forward
    Assume a top 4 RHD that replaces Chychrun's salary exactly at 4.6 M so it is even money

    Farabee and Konecny both make over 5 mil. The math simply doesn't work unless you aren't expecting Norris to be able to play. Maybe you could make Farabee work at 50% retained, but I doubt Philly retains 2.5 mil for 3 seasons.
