    when you consider that d men take longer to develop, both the Hawks and Ducks are early in their rebuilds and need D men, AND 2 studs are right there for the taking, it makes it very likely they go defense and we end up with either Lindstrom or Demidov.

    VERBEEK! Do the right thing and pick Demidov if available! Defensive shut down players can be found later in the draft or next year but players with Demidov's skillset and sky-high offensive ceiling don't even come around every draft!

    Whatever Scott wheeler post should be thrown out the window. It’s disappointing to see this podcast lowers its standards to even highlight anything from wheeler. Now you may ask why. Here a person that threw out Logan Mailloux since he was drafted. He mentioned that Mailloux last year before he went to Laval was not even worth being rated a top 300 prospect. Why. Looking at Wheeler’s face it’s easy to detect his smugness and attitude was based on social issues not Logan’s ability to play hockey. Wheeler judge Logan and hung him to dry. Unforgiving and hypocritical in his bias he still refuses to acknowledge Logan. So screw him and the people here worked for. I cancel I subscription to the Alethic not that they care, as he refuses to acknowledge Logan I will not cater to anyone supporting this self deprecating individual who is too political correct

    Stop with Lidstrom! We have had 3 years of crazy man games lost to injury. The last thing we need is a player with a herniated disk (got one at 19 in construction and had re-occuring injuries my whole life)

    I'm preparing my self that Demidov will be gone to avoid disappointment . But if he is still there and the habs get him , I will be so happy

    Demidov Or Lindstrom. Mathesson + to NJ for 10th pick. Pick Eiserman(they aren't interest in him at 5). Play out the year. Let the kids grow and start filling their roles. Trade the old guys at the deadline. Draft for next 2 years is good for us. Lets start making real moves to make us contenders next year. Year after we have all bad contracts off the books and get that free agent we need. Happy to be a habs fan. Cant wait to see how the next 5 years unfold;.

    Given the speculation about who to go for, I'd put a very high priority on players that really WANT to be a Hab. Out of all the potential top picks, who is the one that loves the idea of being in Montreal.

    Anaheim considering Sennecke is not good news for Montreal. And how do you guys know that Lindstrom and Demidov are at the top of the Canadiens’ list?!?

    Kent, offer Caulfield for Necas as it makes sense. Caulfield is an American kids and a up and coming star. Necas wants to play on the first line and he gives us size and skill. Then trade Gallagher and Anderson to Calgary for Huberdeau. Again you are getting size and skill and I think he will play very well with Dach. No to Demidov , lets go for Lindstrom or Iginla.

    If the talks about Buium being able to play RD because he played on the right side this season then we should seriously consider picking him if he is the bpa.

    Still can’t believe we didn’t take Michkov. When he lights it up for Philly this year, fans will be booing Reinbacher, to the point where he’s gonna be run out of town and we don’t have either player. Major major blunder.

    We haven't seen 2 experts agree on a list or mock draft, so just imagine what it's like behind closed doors in the war room this year. Can't wait until tomorrow to see who we get and what tricks Hughes has up his sleeves.
