Really hope we can get this done. I’m fully convinced Guentzel could easily hit 50 goals/100 points playing a full season with Aho and Jarvis, we haven’t had a player of his caliber in a very long time. I’m happy to see us pushing hard to keep him

So glad the team is trying to keep him even if he takes a bank vault from somewhere else. He was a rental trade but fit in so incredibly well that they need to give him the 8 years.

There’s very few markets in the NHL that support a young budding family like Raleigh can. Good schools, solid cost of living, good Healthcare to name a few.
Carolina offers a relatively low pressure atmosphere compared to other teams who he’d even consider. Brind’amour is the best coach in the NHL hands down, and Dundon has proven to be an overall good owner. PNC offers an amazing atmosphere which will only get better as the new mixed use development comes in.
Term and the ability to dictate when or if he gets traded should be the most important aspects for him here, provided the pay is comparative to other teams and what they’re offering.
