The Canucks Are Going To Be A FORCE Next Season!

On the eve of the 2024 NHL Draft, Patrik Allvin got ahead of 31 general managers and made significant moves. He has re-signed both Dakota Joshua and Tyler Myers! As it stands, the Canucks have approximately 15 million dollars of cap space to sign 4 players. They are going big game hunting! In this video, I break down today’s flurry of moves.

  1. As a diehard fan: I am very suprised about these signings, I really enjoyed Nadorov and would love it if he resigns

  2. so we have the same players back. Thats not going to cut it. We need new younger players and add a few veterans if its the same team we might as well except the fact next years a write off.

  3. The dominos fell today. Anyone who wanted to stay was given the price. They either said yes or no. Big Z will not be be with this team next year. You cant pay full dollar for every player. They will sign value players to fill holes and hopefully make a splash with a player like Guentzel because a player like him can not be filled by value players.

  4. okay where all all the media guys that said he was gone? I dont see them stepping up to say t hey were wrong. They were absolutely wrong. Now they are all stumbling around saying they never said it. Yes they did say it and now they are taking even worse guesses Basically they are overzealous fans not professionals at all

  5. Remember that Tolopilo is counted as a roster player on Capfriendly. The number is 15,490,833

  6. Dak is awesome at a hometown discount. Would have rather seen the Hronek 8M go to 2nd line wingers. Hog-Petey- and a 3-4M winger is not gonna cut it for a second line.

  7. Yzerman paid $5.6mil/season for Andrew Copp, so if he paid $4mil/season for DJ it's probably not a bluff…

If Canucks get Guentzel, they would just use the rest of their cap space for Dillon plus some bargain bin reclamation projects. Maybe sign Justin Schultz for $1-2mil/season?

  8. They moved bad contracts to re-sign a great player? WHAT IS THIS?! WHY ARE THEY DOING GOOD THINGS?! ALL IVE KNOWN IS FAILURE!!

  9. In PA and Rutherford we trust what was it 8 Years of Benning and he couldn't build a team and always overpaid in Free Agency. Now we have PA and Rutherford who seemingly seem to get the players that the team needs at discounts.

  10. We need to sign Guantzel to make it a successful offseason, otherwise it's basically the same team as last year and at best we would be third in the west (behind Edmonton and Dallas).😢

  11. Zadorov should have been taken care of BEFORE Myers. Personally, I think Myers should have been cut loose. He’s the only one on the team that is consistently making me facepalm. But, if we are keeping him it should have been taken care of AFTER signing Zadorov.

I also think Lekeriamaki (spelling?) will get some time in the show this year to test his readiness. He should get 3-5 games in a row to see how he fares and then we can go from there.

  12. I tried to give this video a chance but once you called Wallman a top defenceman I knew none of these opinions were valid and stopped watching.

  13. Where did you hear Brenden Dillon signed with the Jets? Capfriendly nor Puckpedia have anything on that. Demelo Signed for $4.9.

  14. We have 14.5mill cap space. We could sign guentzel for 8.5-9mill and tanev for 4-4.5mill. Tanev wants to be a canuck too. Only issue is that we probably have to resign both silovs and desmith

  15. I like building the defence and then letting young players earn the offensive spots. It takes time to learn to play defence in the NHL; offence comes naturally. I like what the management group is doing. Another good show again

  16. Walman was a cap dump. Don’t get how people don’t get that. Was also a defensive liability. I liked him, but I’m not upset to see him gone.
