  1. Gotta Trade Merrill. Pair him with Gustavson. Get Hunt up in MN at the beginning of the year.
This is the year to get some of our prospects some experience.

  2. Being a UND fan it’s been hard lately for me. First the Wild acquire Faber (a Gopher) and now Buium ( a Pioneer). It’s tough😊. All kidding aside, this is a great pick and I love Faber. This kid should be an absolute stud

  3. I am excited about his skating, size, ability to protect the puck will make him an exciting prospect. I wish we didn't need to wait for a year of AHL. The FABER TOOTH TIGER might be the secret to seeing Zeev sooner!

  4. Did we just get the next Cale Makar?!?! I'm so excited but I know so little about prospects. I'm just going to keep riding the good vibes of everybody else 😎

Just think, Judd gets to work some magic in round 2 as well! This could be an A+ draft as it stands already. Reminds me of how we got to double dip on Ohgren and Yurov. Just gotta hang on a couple more hears my fellow Wild fans. The roster should get much younger, faster, and more skilled.

Edit: Just watched another interview after he got drafted and he sounds like he is stoked to be in MN. Of course every pick will say some lip service like that, but, he mentioned how he played in Fairbault for a couple years and spent a summer at Lake Minnetonka and "would rather be there than the beaches of California". He also mentioned how high he is on playing with Brock Faber (I think that was the Wild player in question but the audio sucked) and only had nice things to say. Lastly he mentioned how he felt fortunate MN drafted him as it felt like a good fit mutually for him as a person and for the organization.

The kid is saying all the right things and starting off on a good note, not to mention he has MORE room to personally develop his game at the NCAA level. He very well could come in 1 to 2 years and be Faber all over again, or better. I think next year at Denver will be telling how much he benefited from a system and production declines, or if he is the real deal and keeps the pace up. 2nd most points in NCAA history by a D, and he was a freshman 😱, is truly a great feat to aspire to improve on before turning pro.

  5. Seth, I thought of you when Silayev was taken and then Dickinson. Like you, he is the one prospect I didn’t even really look at because he was supposed to go 5-8. When Sennecke was taken at 3, then Yakamchuk went way higher than expected, all bets were off. The Wild got one of the premier D 👍.
