  1. He deserved it. I really wish this nonsense between fans of the Avs and Nucks would stop. Makar and Hughes are both amazing players and we should appreciate that we get to watch these guys play hockey from the backend like no other players have in some time. Congrats Quinn and Canuck fans!

  2. Younger Canuck fans might not actually be aware just how far away the club has been from winning this award throughout their history. Prior to Hughes, we barely had any D to even pick up a single vote. You can count them on one hand. But that's all over now. Congrats, Quinn!
