This could be Utah’s first mistake..

Filip Hronek signed with the Canucks along with the new team, the Utah Hockey Club announced they’re looking to trade their first round pick. That and more in today’s NHL hockey video!

  1. Obviously we already talked further on the Barclay Goodrow news, he did indeed get picked up by San Jose, but a bit more in depth here on his time as a Ranger and them waiving him. Thank You San Jose 🤘

  2. Utah .. unlike the Coyotes, will have absolutely no problem getting butts in the seats. They have a demand for season tickets far beyond the capacity of the arena. Trading their 10th overall pick for a player now will have absolutely zero impact on the attendance. They will have a long waiting list for season tickets no matter what they do. Makes me wonder why the NHL wasted so many years in Arizona. As far as the pick goes .. I'd use it to build a solid roster for the future. There are many talented free agents available and the team is well below the cap floor. The owner has tons of money and is looking to build a team worthy of the NHL. Gone of the days of Yotes being a glorified dumping ground. I expect we will see a huge upgrade over last season and many free agents making Utah their new home.

  3. Hronek's contract was just Detroit was wary of, and moved him as rumors were he was seeking for at least $8 mil AAV
Great player but SY had to make a decision to leave enough cap space for Raymond and Seider.
Worked out well for Vancouver. but do not expect much in terms for defense from Hronek.

  4. utah realistically should trade the 1st if they can get a semi young star if not i think drafting someone the fans want could help get people going to the games but in the end well see what happens

  5. Arizona were in draft mode for like 10 years. Enough is enough. Utah needs to be an entertaining team that can fill the arena with fans. Sell that 6th overall to the Leafs.

  6. I imagine the ducks will go with some kind of throwback purple and teal for their third jerseys. They're about to have a whole variety of fun-ass uniforms. A far cry from some of the most underwhelming logos and jerseys in the league the last while.

  7. Utah will be playoff team next year and for right player you can give up your 6th pick. We cant know if its mistake before we see who they get for it. Right?

  8. 8 years 58 million ,why in the hell do these owners need tax dollars to stay afloat. Pathetic no talent 🤡s

  9. Utah already have a silly amount of cap space to build out their defense or add a forward. Plus the team they have is already pretty good. The team was looking like a playoff team in Arizona until the relocation rumors started popping up which clearly affected their play. I think they should use their 6th overall pick on a Dman but they literally have such a stupid amount of cap space they really dont need to trade assets for anything.

  10. Not a huge fan of the orange for the Ducks (got latent hate against another notable orange jersey, maybe that's why…) but given that Anaheim is in Orange county, it checks out amirite!

  11. Zadorov will not be back with Van. At this point I would put $100 on it. Alvin wanted him to take a discount and hes not gonna do that nor should he. I would guess he goes to Nashville.

  12. If the Yotes didn't have the arena situation constantly hanging over them, they would have made the Ploffs. And they WILL make the Ploffs this season. MARK. MY. WORDS.

  13. The missing x-factor is getting out of the toxic mess that was Arizona's ownership. This much team turnover could be a huge win in dropping the past, and moving forward…. or completely awful. Everything is just speculation at this point.

  14. Arizona should’ve moved to Orlando or Jacksonville; guaranteed Cup win or Finals appearance seems like.

  15. Bill Armstrong is no fool,he will only do what he thinks is best for the team.Personally speaking I’m pulling for Utah(insert name soon please)despite being a Leafs fan.

  16. Steve Yzerman has been up to something the past couple days. My bet is on he trades up to 6.

Utah is actually kind of smart though. Think of the picks they'll acquire from just #6. That's how you fill your prospect pool up fast. Especially with how deep this draft is.

  17. How would someone not know about the meaning behind the Orange color for the ducks? The city of Anaheim sits in Orange County, California. Hence the switch of their primary color

  18. Based on the history of Utah, they should've called themselves the gulls because both that and this is nothing short of a miracle.
