I noticed your both not showing a lot of optimism that we play big in next years FA starter market.
I share your lack of optimism here as well. Seems the timing is off by a year to go all in on Corbin Burnes type contract.
So many things are up in the Air like Perry's contract and the draft and trade deadline that knowing what the 2025 Angels will look like is an impossible crystal ball exercise.
The 2026 year could be a good year but the 2027-2029 time frame could be great years! Rendon money is off the books, and our farm players will have been brought up and spent a year with the club
If Arte spins for Corbin Burnes or even a Robbie Ray, I will be happy to buy a couple extra seats

Wonderful performance by Davis Daniel! Wow! Just an enjoyable night at the ballpark. Note on attendance: the box score said 27,340 but if there was 20,000 or so there it was alot. Made moving around the stadium very easy! BTW, I started following this team years ago when I lived back east as the California Angels. Love those uniforms and wish they'd bring that all back, but Arte has to go before that would ever happen. Four in row! Let's GO!!!

As someone who hasn't lived in California since 01 and being around San Luis Obispo have when I did. So I never lived in the market for my sports teams which makes me not loyal to the city the team is in. I am an Angles fan not because they are in Anaheim. I am also a Raiders fan so I dont really care what my team's call home. That being said I would be behind the Angels going back to being called Anaheim or even the California Angels.
Ducks also have a connection with Disney!!! Wow look at that. Using your Orange county resources to promote and celebrate the things around you. Great job Ducks. Until Arte is gone, the Angels will have 0 connection with their OC natives.

The Ducks new uniforms and rebranding really reach out and embrace their fan base.
The Angels and Ducks are my 2 teams.
My wife and I live in Anaheim maybe 2 miles from the ballpark and even less to the Honda Center.
The Samueli's really know their fan base and the pride that they have in where they live.
To encompass all of OC and IE plus San Gabriel Valley into their branding is brilliant !
Nothing wrong with LA but the fans here want their own identity, like you said, 3 million+ residents.
The Angels are kinda the little brothers of the Dodgers, rivals sort of but because we're not in the same league or division, its less intense.
The Ducks and Kings being in the same division, whole different story. Big rivals.
There is room for all the teams in SoCal, a humongous sports hot bed.
Also with the Ducks developing OC Vibe, it just gives another big plus to the game experience.
The Orange Country phrase is so perfect, honoring the regions agricultural history

There is a big similarity between the Angels and Ducks teams, both are going through a young re building that would really happen quickly for both.
For the Angels, build the team with our kids and add more from the draft, and really maximize getting more kids through trades by July 31 deadline.
Its our kids and more in the near future that really has the fan base excited.
To watch them grow is totally fun already and it will get even better !!
Our future is bright as long as Arte and upper mgt. let this rebuild grow and continue. Patience will really pay off.

Ok. So what do you think of this dumb idea. And you can say it’s dumb:
1. Completely rebrand to Orange County. Or to Anaheim. New uniforms.
2. Embrace a complete team rebuild with young new players.
3. Invest in minor leagues teams, facilities, pay.
4. If it’s a mlb team rebuild, it’ll probably be at lower salaries for the team. That’s ok. Youngsters we want to see develop and grow over 2-3 years. Or longer. But pay slightly more than league minimum.
5. Lower ticket prices. Lower concessions prices. Take price increases over the next few years as the team gets better. And the players you develop need to be paid better.
6. This strategy is designed to rebuild the fan base and the team. Get the fans excited about supporting a new team filled with exciting to watch young players that will bring a championship in 3-5 years.
At least that’s the beginning of a plan. But probably would never work.
Angels and pirates match up great in a Ward trade. Ward for two of the pirates top 4 arms. Out of Chandler, solometo, ashcraft and harrington. They have Skenes, Jones, and Keller, so they have plenty of arms to deal. And 2 years of control with Ward shouldn't be cheap.
No more Sandavol the idea of extending him while he’s on rehab is asinine it’s time to move on.

@lilwaynesworld0 You are really painting a bad picture of Sandoval based on an ERA. Canning has 4.64 and Silseth has a 6.5 era. So those two aren't better by your measure.
So yes not knowing what 2026 looks like and having Sandoval at those prices in 2026 could be a deal
Your planning on everything working out great in 2026 where Dana is fantastic and Detmers is back and pitching great and Silseth is holding it down.
That crystal ball could fall apart fast. Detmers and Silseth have a lot to prove and Canning is no better than Sandoval. That leaves you with Soriano only once Anderson is traded.
So I will gamble with a 20 million for 3 years with Sandoval.
I think Sean Roby Jr out of the Giants farm system would be a great fit
The Samuelis (the Ducks owners) really need to buy the Angels. They would almost certainly rebrand the team back to Anaheim and could extend the OCVibe entertainment district being developed around Honda Center to Angels stadium. And most importantly, they'd actually make an effort to field a winning product They just bought up a sizeable chuck of land within the Angels stadium parking lot last week so I'm hoping it's a signal that they're about to make a play for the franchise. 🤞
