  1. How many times can we draft the same player? We constantly draft the safe player with limited offensive upside over the elite upside with limited defensive skills. We draft the guys with 2nd line ceilings and wonder why we don't have any one develop into stars. I hope I'm wrong but first watch I'm not super impressed with his stick handling or agility. Very much a dump and chase guy it seems. Holding out for a blockbuster trade

  2. Not gonna lie I don't know many of these guys who get drafted anymore. So I come to your guys channel 😂😂to get schooled

  3. Please trade Copp 2nd, 4th. to CGY/SJ + 1 MILL AAV retained so we can have ADB, STAM, KANE, X Larkin Raymond. I do not like this approach, but where the wagon has lead us. Didn't get the top 5 picks over last couple years, signed some bad deals, need a legit 1C or 2C (not copp, not compher etc). Accelerate the toss out of the 'place holders' Keep berggren and go from there. That is plenty of money to get this done. 91 at $7 over 4, Kane, 3 X $5

  4. Can't wait to watch all the high end scoring talent we passed on flourish in the next few years. Yzerman is trying his hardest to out mild Minnesota. We want to be the most mid team the nhl has ever seen.

  5. HIs stat line is similar to Filip Forsberg/Jespert Bratt, he did really well at WJC too

  6. Too many people listen to talking heads about who we need and who we don't. The fact of the matter is the Wings got screwed in the lottery, and haven't had the #1 pick since the 80's. They don't have Bedard, Hughes, or Celebrini, and because of that they have to win in a different way. They aren't going to be a top heavy team, with 3 guys scoring all their goals. If they had any lottery luck that would be possible, but since they didn't they have to be a well rounded, punishing, defensive team. Their future is Seider, Raymond, Edvinsson, Danielson, Kasper, Sandin-Pelika, Mazur, Johanssen, MBN, Cossa and Augustine. Does that seem bad? To me that seems like a lot of talent, and an exciting future. Don't lose faith, some analysts say we have the #1 prospect pool in hockey, and we missed the playoffs by the smallest margin possible last year with only two of those players on the team. Give it time, stay the course, and remain positive.

  7. I deleted the comment yesterday, but I am leaving it up on this video. You guys need to cut ties with lying hacks like Sean Shapiro. It is a bad look being associated with people like him.

  8. We’re going to be stuck in mediocrity for YEARS. I don’t see any indication of elite talent down the pipeline. At least I have my second team (Panthers) since half of my family lives in a Florida since 2008.

  9. I'm interested in seeing Axel Sandin-Pelikka in a winged wheel jersey. I think he will be a special d-man for DRW in the near future

  10. Been compared to Chris Kreider and Kyle Palmieri………. In the pre draft interviews MBN is a very likable guy,
His personality sort of reminds me of pre – concussion Franzen who was a little quirky and ready for levity with a chippy edge out on the ice. Right now he has the frame to add even more muscle, he looks like a very solid build.
MBN and ASP will play together next year with Skellefteå AIK so that probably had a lot to do with the selection also.

  11. Takes what on paper is considered the best player available (boring).

MBN is ~3 years away from being an NHL player, if he even reaches that level. Played in youth hockey and in HockeyAllsvenskan, a tier below the SHL. This year's draft is very uncertain if you don't have top 5 picks.

From 24/25 MBN is in *Skellefteå AIK organization together with ASP in SHL (*Champions). MBN only has a 1 year contract with Skellefteå today which covers his participation during 24/25. This is something I like as it gives increased flexibility to find new solutions to his needs.

MBN needs to work on increasing his speed, stickhandling as he drops a lot of pucks and how to take tight turns. Playing at a lower level has its drawbacks, not really the best facilities and so on. As many including myself classify him as a "power forward" these qualities are what he needs to improve now.

It will be interesting to see how he is used in Skellefteå during the year and how he reacts to facing better players. As Norwegian citizens, they are always very polite, have a great sense of humour.

Personally, I can see Burger & MBN becoming best friends if they are both part of future RW. It's good for Norwegian hockey that two players were already taken in the first round, doesn't happen every year as far as I know.

  12. A somewhat random comment. I’m an American living in Norway and playing beer league here. Even the low-level beer league Norwegian players are insanely competitive and will do anything to win a game. If MBN follows that national trait, we did well.
