We’re drafting players with really good passing and puck handling abilities. I don’t hate it. We’re definitely trading for a 1D eventually I think with two centers taken this draft. Shit, we could still trade for a 1C lol.

My concern is based off consensus rankings we could be getting better value. Briere is not playing the board as well as he can potentially, but i’m sure they have their own rankings.
lol downloaded for a legitimate concern. it’s okay to love briere and worry about draft strategy so far.

Definitely a pick on tools and positional need over BPA

We going to reach all draft? Might as well just trade back and get more picks for next year then

I don’t hate the strategy of drafting lots of centers hoping one will hit.

Flyers legally required to draft a player with good tools and bad skating once a year.

Really would have preferred to bet on high end skill but whatever

am I the only one who doesn’t think it’s bat shit insane that they’re reaching?
Michkov should have the best possible talent next to him when at his peak. If they think there’s something in these Cs that can be taught/developed Im willing to trust them.
if things are galaxy brain next year in a stacked draft maybe I’ll panic a bit

Hmmm… an 18 year old, 6’3″ center, who can put on more muscle, from Sweden rather than college. Actually plays utilizing his size rather than other “power forwards” we’ve watch wilt in recent years.
One might have to ask: is it becoming blatantly obvious yet what we’re doing?
Traumopod
once again, according to pundits (for whatever that is worth) he is a 3rd to 5th round draft choice, so yeh this is now officially the “Flyers draft of reaching for centers”.

Nothing to do with the player but anyone else think the we are literally doing the same thing as Utah HC and hoarding all these picks to trade for valuable pieces ?

To all the we’re reaching people, Peter Forsberg was a projected 2nd rd pick at best per Bob McKenzie. It’s all a gamble people. This is why they watch games all year, they identify players they like.

Feel like the flyers dont love anyone this draft and are just picking guys they see fitting them best. I like Berglund. Big guy, good hands, not afraid to use his size. definite path for him if he hits
