  1. Habs and Sharks had great first rounds. I was hoping my Flyers would land Dickinson, but Danny B couldn’t work a trade to move up to take him.

  2. As a Flames fan, I am super stoked with both picks! But I gotta say, Sharks fans gotta be feeling ELECTRIFIED with how incredible both their picks are. Wow.

  3. This is the first draft where development wasn’t affected by Covid. This is going to be an impressive draft when we look back

  4. KD is building a terrifying defense in Chicago. Hawks now have Artyom Levshunov, Kevin Korchinski, Alex Vlasic, Wyatt Kaiser, Ethan Del Mastro, Nolan Allan, Louis Crevier and Isaak Phillips in their system.

  5. Get off Utah’s back about not having a mascot and a jersey. They have had just a couple of months to put an organization together and it seems as if they have made tremendous progress overall. They can take their time in getting the mascot chosen to get it right, same with the jersey, it takes time to design logos and all the graphic designs a team needs, if you rush something just to get it done, you’re probably going to blow it.

  6. Parascak going 17 was not that big of a surprise, Capitals drafted Funk from the same WHL team and Hersey added Thorton from them as well. Washington seems to have someone watching the Cougars closely.

  7. After I've slept on it, I don't mind what the Flyers did. They took a high-floor center who will probably be on the 2nd line in his prime & punted the draft until next year. They should have 3 first rounders & 3 second rounders next year. Kind of sucks to not take a high-ceiling prospect, but Danny & Jonesy probably thought none were available when they were picking. I think I'm OK with what the Flyers ended up doing now.

  8. It's so refreshing to hear your common sense and honesty compared to all of the mindless blather from all of the other media outlets, Skanes… Thank You

  9. Avs: Our prospect pool is soooo depleted. I dont think anyone gets a bonafied NHLer at 24, but I kinda hate that we traded our 1st.

  10. Shannon – We are very disappointed in Las Vegas' reception for Bettman. Only a sprinkling of boos were heard for about 10 seconds. Let's remember Philadelphia's outstanding 6 minutes pounding of the diminutive dictator. Whoever is hosting next year, they really need to bring back this fine tradition.

  11. Disappointed with presentation of the Boston pick given how the pick travelled. Boston with their own pick by way of Ottawa by way of Detroit by way of Boston.

  12. I think i am one the few ducks fans who liked the Sennecke pick because i am for Oshawa and have seen him play for the Generals

  13. Anyone have a link to the draft? I wanted to watch the whole first round and can't find anything but recaps. Thanks in advance

  14. i know he has doubters but i’m so excited about the Devils picking Silayev. In a few years they could have some of the best offensive defensemen (Luke Hughes, Seamus Casey, Hamilton) two-way defensemen (Nemec) and defensive defensemen (Silayev). If we somehow have the cap space to keep all of these guys this blue line could be the best in the league.

  15. I kinda feel like Chicago should have grabbed Eiserman , they need a shooter next to Bedard.
Bedard's passing ability and vision would have possibly led to a plethora of beauty goals. Having that extra threat for goalies to worry about is purely beneficial.
Oh well, we shall see how everything pans out for every team. Next season can't start soon enough.

  16. Re Hawks, let's see if I got this right, they had the worst year since the 50's,they were the 2nd worst team in the league, and depended on a 18 yr old to score your points,so what should I do,I got it let's draft a defense men, simply retarded mngmt

  17. Cole Eiserman is going to go score a bunch of NCAA goals next year and prove this draft board wrong. If he touches Eichel/Celebrini levels of production I would not be surprised.

  18. Konsta Helenuis is a sleeper. I just worry about him going to a bad franchise like Buffalo. Emil Hemming on the other hand, will do well in Dallas with their very good player developement/coaching.

  19. Still not happy with the Blackhawks not picking Demidov but at least they picked scorers with their next two picks.

  20. Apparently Anaheim liked both Sennecke and Yakemchuk. I knew Anaheim would be the team to pull the first off the board pick, but I didn't think they would take Sennecke. Though he is the better player over Yakemchuk so it could make sense.

  21. Philadelphia had best draft in history of franchise! Don’t believe me? Just ask the beat writers…they drink orange koolaid by the gallons!

  22. A few great players from the completely ignored other CHL league, QMJHL, I'm surprised at least 2 were not picked first round, especially Gill (one of the best, if not the best d-man in that league). Not surprised though, unless they are generational talents, the QMJHL (which isn't just Quebec, all maritimes and Newfounland have or have had, not sure St-John's has a team right now, they switch between QMJHL and AHL teams here and there up by the sea. Also, surprised Antonin Verreault, who's the best player in that, points wise, is still ignored, and he's 20, so he's pretty much done unless he continues in some AHL team that wants him or in Europe and then signs in the NHL as a free agent, because he's proven to be first round material, even more so in a 32 team roster, but little QMJHL which has produces some of the best players of all time is always a little ignored, it's getting sad now with zero 1st rounders this year.
