Canadiens lose to Coyotes 5-2 in regulation after boring game | Habs 2021-22 Season | Episode 37



The Montreal Canadiens played tonight in the Gila River Arena against the Arizona Coyotes and would end up losing in regulation by a final score of 5-2. In the 1st period goals from Travis Boyd and Johan Larsson gave the Yotes a 2-0 lead but Rem Pitlick’s 1st as a Canadien leads to it being 2-1 into the 2nd period. In said 2nd period goals from Janis Moser, Ryan Poehling, and Nick Schmaltz led to the game being 4-2 Coyotes after 40 minutes. In the 3rd period the lone goal was scored by Clayton Keller into the empty net after Cayden Primeau had been pulled to start the period. With this loss the Canadiens are now 7-25-5 with 19 points for last place in the NHL.
