[Webster] Just spoke with Logan. He clarified he did ask for a trade, but not out of spite or bad blood. “It just came down to where I’m at in my career. I think I have more to give in the NHL and that’s becoming a true No. 1 goalie. Sadly, it’s not here in Vegas.”

Still sucks from a cap space perspective, but besides that I’m comfortable with the trade now.
If the guy doesn’t want to be here, I’d rather get some value for him and not risk any potential tension by keeping him around. We did right by him too as a result, in contrast to how people love to frame our treatment of players.
Now I’m just sad instead of sad and mad.
Doesn’t make sense to me. He started the most games the last 2 years and him and Hill are on their final year. He had the opportunity to win the job and re-sign as the #1 going forward. Did he want it to just be handed to him?
I figured he was gonna be traded one of these days
His injuries and Hill stepping up big time to lead us to a cup kind of created an unfortunately perfect storm to this. I’d have preferred we kept LT to tandem with Hill but both have shown they want and are able to be starting goalies. Biggest difference is one of them directly lead us to a cup.
