Faber is a stud for Minnesota, so that one stings. However, Fiala is a back half of the season monster.
Once he gets paired properly, he’s going to light it up

Pretty good trade for both parties.

Even if we end up with less value looking back at this trade in the future, I think it’s easily worth even if it’s just because Fiala is so fun to watch

We have tons of talent at Right Handed Defense. We only have 1 Kevin Fiala.

It was a great trade. Don’t need an RD but desperately need a Fiala. He’s a stud he just needs to be used properly to shine as the elite player he is.
A lot of teams that have a player like Kevin Fiala tailor the line completely around him. We haven’t done that really with him. Playing him on the 3rd line with Todd etc. I’m hoping Hiller gives us a true top 6 this year and we can scheme to fialas strengths wherever he ends up so he can become an 80 point player again.
Been pretty dreadful watching him try and win games for us on the 3rd line.

Once Faber signs a mega $8-9m extension this one will look pretty even I think. They also took Ohgren with the pick who looks like a nice piece
