He led the USHL in goals this year. That’s pretty dang good for a 5th round pick.

Guy really came on the second half of the season. Intriguing. Seem to be going after the late risers this draft

I’m a grad student at Ohio State so I follow the hockey team pretty closely, when we got Powell as a commit I was pretty excited cause he was one of the best commits we got in a few years. Super happy he’s going to the Flyers.
OSU doesn’t get a lot of drafted prospects, but they have done a good job at developing the better prospects they do get. Mason Lohrei is a recent example, Stephen Halliday is a forward more like Powers and after making the jump to the AHL after OSU season ended he led Bellville in points in the playoffs. Dakota Joshua is a bit older, but another similar player who is having a solid NHL career.
Another very smart player, I like them putting a premium on high hockey IQ.

Briere is terrible. The sky is falling. We are doomed.

So something I’ve not seen anywhere but just learned from a Scott Wheeler article: this kid is deaf. Which I find super interesting and inspiring. Hoping the absolute best for Noah!
