With The Panthers The Stanley Cup Has Gone Ocean Swimming And Housed Twin Babies And A Pasta Dinner

In the few days since the Florida Panthers won the Stanley Cup, the National Hockey League’s championship trophy has …
-Housed Jonah Gadjovich’s adorable twin babies
-Gone swimming in the Atlantic Ocean with Sam Bennett, Matthew Tkachuk and others
-And used for team advisor Roberto Luongo’s pasta dinner

That’s a whirlwind week, but fortunately Stanley is used to it.

Since the Cup was introduced in the 1892/1893 season, here are just some of the ways it’s been … enjoyed:
-Phil Bourque swam with Stanley in Mario Lemieux’s pool
-The Pittsburgh Penguins’ Josh Archibald had his son baptized in the Cup
-As did the Detroit Red Wings’ Tomas Holstrom with his cousin’s daughter
-And the Avalanche’s Sylvain Lefebvre with his son
-The Rangers Eddie Olczyk fed a Kentucky Derby winner out of it.
-Meanwhile, the Avs’ VP Mark Waggoner took the Cup 14,000-plus feet high to the top of Colorado’s Mt. Elbert, the second highest mountain in the U.S.
-A decade earlier, after sweeping the Flyers in 1997, several Red Wings took Stanley on its first trip to Russia
-In 2007 and 2008, Stanley made a few trips to Afghanistan and other parts of the Middle East to meet with Troops
-Blackhawks Andrew Desjardins ate Lucky Charms out of the Cup after they won in 2015
-The Hurricanes’ Doug Weight served ice cream to his kids out of the Stanley
-Penguins legend Sidney Crosby took him jet skiing
-Red Wings coach Mike Babcock took Stanley water skiing
-Chicago Blackhawks’ Patrick Kane took Stanley to the Niagara Falls, near his hometown in Buffalo
-And fellow Blackhawk Andrew Ladd took the cup to a beautiful local in his native British Columbia
