well, if stamkos was gonna go, this was the only real replacement / upgrade available with reinhart probably not leaving. not too chuffed about the 2025 3rd – make sure you get the guy, especially someone as good and desirable as guentzel

Feels almost bittersweet. Guentzel is certainly an excting addition to the team and that part is awesome. I feel like this is an upgrade from Stamkos especially 5v5. But man… if Stammer isnt in a Bolts sweater next year its going to feel strange. Like when Vinny and Marty’s time came to an end. It just felt bad

Idk how i feel about this. Didnt feel like star firepower was our problem last year. Replacing guentzel with stamkos when our defence is still in shambles doesnt really feel great. Guentzel is a great player and will be amazing no doubt i just cant get excited about losing stamkos while not getting better in the areas we desperately need

What? I thought it was a done deal he was either resigning in Carolina or being moved to Vancouver. How the hell did we get him for a THIRD? Did the Canucks not make a deal? Or did the Canucks make an even lower offer/an offer that would still give the Canes more cap to have to deal with.
Anyway I’m not celebrating this until we learn the news of Stamkos. Honestly my thoughts on it was Stamkos is the better player and between the two I hoped for Stammer over Guentzel but Guentzel is still pretty good. Especially if he goes on the Kuch line, and there’s no doubt he’d help the power play as well(though our pp wasn’t really the thing we needed help with but that’s okay)

Great pickup for bolts nation. Still think stammer gets a deal done. If all things go accordingly to his plan I think we get back stammer, sign moser, and bring in maroon and possibly another player. Need to get sheary off the books to make this happen which I think he will.
