  1. Another NCAA player holding a team hostage for a guaranteed NHL roster spot. And no surprise, he is best friends with Cutter Gauthier.

  2. Rutger's 3 PERSONAL goals heading into the 2023-24 season. World Junior title – check, NCAA title – no check, sign & play atleast 1 game with the Jets to eliminate a year from the 3 yr entry level contract obligation – uncheck! Now he's mad and demanding a trade. 😢

  3. Fuck this team ,just sell them already. I don’t wanna watch this effing hockey team when they can’t even keep players what’s the point

  4. Those are impressive stats, please stop wasting players time, especially first rounders by not having them even have a try in pre-season and if things work well, insert him, there's place for him in Winnipeg, even if Sean Monahan was not to resign with the Jets, which is a possibility, although Monahan seems to enjoy playing in Canada, hell I'd take him back with the Habs, we'd have 4 solid centres with some who can play on the wing (Dach especially). I'd also have McGroarty be inserted right away as what we need the most is future top six wingers (which is why they might pass on Cayden Lindstrom, MTL is packed with centres and future likely multiple stars on the blue line, the goalie question will only be solved if Montembeault improves yet again, because if he does he will join the top 15 starters in the NHL pack). MTL was bad at scouting under several GM's in short periods of time, please don't make a habit, because that arena in Winnipeg needs to be full like it was in the last third of the season and playoffs, can't afford just 12-13k seats in games before February anymore. The product is very strong and was getting stronger, don't waste your prospects, whoever is WPG's GM…

  5. Canada is irrelvant in Bettman's NHL.
That Winnipeg has a 2nd team, while Quebec has none, is testament to its relative prioritizations of sports and rivalries vs. mere geographic convenience.
And a big welcome to online betting!

    Just a money-grubbing farce.

  6. Imo, if Rutger is so confident in his abilities, show up to camp and prove it. Your Michigan teammates made their teams because Columbus and Chicago are bottom feeders. Jets aren’t.

Every other player that’s a mainstay on the Jets went through the process of playing in the minors with the Manitoba Moose (or Ice Caps before them) such as Hellebuyck, Connor, Morrissey, etc.

Ever heard of Jason Robertson? He played in the AHL with Texas. What about William Nylander? Oh that’s right, Toronto Marlies.

He clearly doesn’t wanna go through this process. Something tells me he isn’t as confident as he appears, as he knows his opportunities with the NHL team will be quite limited. Imo, good riddance if that’s his mindset.

  7. He’s pulling a Lindros. Eric had a target on him the rest of his short career, so should this fella. These guys get paid millions to play a GAME for a living, he needs to take off the panties and suck it up.🙄

  8. A top 4 defenseman and a 2nd for…nothing??? I immediately thought of you and am excited and scared for your reaction…

  9. I think the worst thing for the jets was bowness didn’t play the young guys. That seemed like a coaches decision and hopefully with a new coach he played the young guys more. Because when Scott Arneil subbed in when bones took leave of absence perfecttt played really good and got lots of ice time so I’m hoping with new coach Rutger changes his mind. I was so excited to see him in a jets uniform

  10. Don't think this hurts RMs value because there are a bunch of teams that would love to have him, and he's ready for the NHL.

  11. He wouldn’t be playing for the Jets next season and would be playing for AHL Manitoba Moose. Smart move to stay in college for another season.

  12. Jets seem to be awful at development. Things aren't helped by their AHL team being in an unideal location. Why would mcgroarty want to play in the ahl instead of Michigan? I don't blame him a bit for not signing.

Winnipeg not playing perfetti in the playoffs despite playing 70 regular season games sends a horrible message

  13. I don’t understand this from the jets perspective because like yes their “focusing” on their playoff run rather than letting the kids play like it’s dumb I’m not a jets fan to know how dumb this is because their tryna keep their playoff window open for as long as possible but like the jets have a ton of old players Yk what happens come time they have to rebuild and have no
Home grown talent to show for it, it’s a terrible look for the franchise and a bad look for Chevy

  14. I understand the upside of not rushing a player, but if the guy is giving you an ultimatum just bring him in at end of the season and burn that year for him. Now he’s gone for sure for basically nothing. At least burning that year gets him signed and gives the team more leverage. Unfortunately ncaa players may as well just be free agents the way they get almost all the power and ability to just stay in school and sign as a free agent to whomever they choose.

  15. Cole Perfetti went 15 games without a point. He admitted he was struggling for most a good chunk of the season. Heinola was out for 3 months due to a broken ankle.

  16. Heads need to roll in the Winnipeg Jets head office. They've been mishandling our young talent for years, and this loss is catastrophic.
