On today’s episode of Locked on Wild, Alex Micheletti joins as we recap a very successful 2024 Draft Class for the Wild! We discuss how Zeev Buium fell to the Wild, and why no matter what Philadelphia says it looks like they fumbled the bag by not selecting Buium due to his “lack of size”. We also discuss some initial thoughts on the other top picks Ryder Ritchie and Aron Kiviharju. We also discuss the acquisition of Jakub Lauko from Boston and what he brings to the table. We discuss the players the Wild gave qualifying offers to in Graeme Clarke, Adam Raska, Sammy Walker and Declan Chisholm. We also look at the reasons that Sam Hentges, Dmitry Ovchinnikov, Mason Shaw, Simon Johansson and Hunter Jones were not extended qualifying offers. We finish by discussing Free Agency, and why it’s likely the Wild do something even if they don’t have a ton of money to spend.

Seth, my friend Shane is a scout for the Flyers and he said they weren't taking Zeev @ 12. (But that doesn't mean another team wasn't going to do what the Wild did, and trade with them for tge pick)
Seth, It was a great show Sunday when you had Jack Carlson on. I have not seen Jack in quite a few years play hockey against Jack and the Brothers 1973 Golden Valley ice Center. all three of them on one line they were playing for the junior Bruins I was playing for the Minneapolis Blazers. Glad to see he’s doing well. We’re starting to get up there in age, but that league was the best league around back then and it was a tough league, it was a lot of fun I think ifJack heard my name he’d know who I was
Nashville now frontrunners for both Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault.
So my two favorite teams are Detroit and Minnesota. I want Perron to re-sign in Detroit. I don't see him really helping Minnesota at all, but I appreciate his intangibles in Detroit, it's a good fit for him there. With the Wild and their cap issues and where they are as a team, I don't see Perron moving the needle at all for them.
