I’m not a fan of that signing. He will likely end up playing with Miller and Boeser. Still no proper wingers for Pettersson.
9.5 is what we were looking at on Guentzel and we got 3 quality players, top 6 and 2 tocchet players in the bottom 6.
I mean I would rather Right hand forward for Petey and have Hogs on LW but ok I guess, but that DeBrusk term is a lot
I don't like this, but I'll be happy if debrusk comes in and is a consistent 50 pt guy in our top 6. He just isn't that yet, so it's another gamble… for 7 years. The rest of the signings are good value, but we don't really need more bottom 6 forwards, it's just a clutter down there now. I would have rather seen guentzel at 9 mil rather than this package, but they didn't want to trade for his rights.
A lot of people are saying the DeBrusk signing is too much, but I wonder if this is just they way things are now for the NHL.
Canucks hoping he can be like what Zack Hyman ended up in Edmonton who people thought that the Oilers overpaid who was a 3rd line player for the Leafs.
Enjoy these signings because Vancouver won't be making the playoffs next year. Allvin needs to sell the farm and trade for Zadorov again!
Am happy with all signings. But since they knew they were not going to sign Zadarov and Lindholm I wish they would have got something for selling their rights before draft. Like the Canes did for Guentzel and Dallas.did for Tanev(2nd round pick!!).
