  1. 5.5m for a 40 point scorer? While plus minus isn’t a perfect stat, de brusk is also -16 in 86 playoff games.

This is terrifying to me. Absolutely a signature move for Alvin that will determine whether he is a good gm or not.

  2. These are the moves of a team that only wants to get back to the playoffs not of one trying to win the cup. I hate this bet so much. We needed a difference maker he's a middle 6 not even top 6 so miss me with that. This is not the path to a championship roster.

  3. I could see DeBrusk playing well with Miller and Boeser. I still think we sign another winger for Petterson. Maybe Skinner or trade for Necas

  4. Canucks hoping he can be like what Zack Hyman ended up in Edmonton who people thought that the Oilers overpaid who was a 3rd line player for the Leafs.

  5. would have have rather lindholm instead of Debrusk, canucks offered 7×7 and he signs for 7.75 x 7 ?? lindholm obviously didnt want to stay in vancouver

  6. Allvin messed up signing Zadorov and was schooled on free agency signings. The Canucks will not make the playoffs next year as their defense is atrocious!

  7. He's coming from a team with a strong team-first attitude and structure. I think he's a Tocchet type of player. Not a perfect player, but overall I like the signing. But as with all signings, we'll just have to watch and see.

  8. Donnie is complaining about the signing because he doesn't have chemistry with a guy he's never played with? With that logic, why sign anyone in free agency ever unless they've played with us before lol

  9. After watching Debrusk for his entire pro career. Thank you Vancouver for taking him. His game is soft and inconsistent.

  10. It was the best they could get. It is clear that players do not want to play in Canada. Zedorov took 5 mill from Boston but not Vancouver.

  11. Yeah Rick but you have to have a guy that scores in the regular season as well or your not even making it into the playoffs……Sigh

  12. Bruins fan here. Jake is the most overrated Bruin of the last decade. 1 year from now they’ll be trying to unload that contract. Nice move 👍

  13. Wtf 7 years!! 😂😂😂 what a 💩 signing. 18 mil for two players on one not so good line! What could possibly go wrong.

  14. The nucks just got worse what were they thinking signing this guy for 7 years? They love overspending on free agents is Benning still in the building?

  15. So is this Allvin team when they make bad decisions and Jim Rutherfords team when they make good decisions?

  16. Vancouver, you’re getting a solid two way player who can kill penalties as well. I’m upset that the Bruins couldn’t at least match that price or do better. They’ve invested all those years developing him why not see it through?
It looks like Vancouver did some poaching from the Boston Bruins. Danton Heinen at 2.6? The Bruins had him at the leave minimum last year through a P/T. He earned his money and I’m as equally as shocked that the Bruins let him go as well after the year he had last season for the B’s.
I’m guessing that this will be another t player given up on that will come back to night the B’s in the butt! The last of that dreadful “2015” draft is gone. Embarrassing!

  17. As our economies diverge, the US wealthier and Canada poorer, I can see the day when the Canadian teams just become a northern division of the AHL.

  18. Doesn’t matter who is put with petterson $ 11.6 millions man is a loser , petterson doesn’t show up for playoffs

  19. Can he be an upgrade on Mikheyev for Pettersson? I mean, I could be an upgrade on Mikheyev, but if him and Pettersson click, then it's a great deal. If not, we got 7 years of Debrusk.

  20. The reason Pettersson slumped was because Pettersson slumped. It's not like a magical winger will unlock him and I'm glad that wasn't the Canucks' approach. I'm not convinced he's destined to be glued to Pettesson forever. The bottom line is it's a good price for a winger who over 90 playoff games has proven he's a playoffs guy.
