On Monday night, the Panthers took a 1-0 lead in the first on a goal from Carter Verhaeghe off a sharp pass from Evan Rodrigues.

Tied at 1 in the second, Dmitry Kulikov swept away the puck from an empty net — and Sam Reinhart scored on the ensuing rush.

The rest was up to the Florida defense which clamped down on the Edmonton offensive — with the help of some stellar goaltending from Sergei Bobrovsky.

  1. Killing me that we lost Stenlund and OEL. Thought we could keep both of them for short money. OEL was running point on the PP at end of the season. Stenlund was a fantastic 4th line center and was a beast on the PK.

  2. I was extremely critical of the Tkachuk-Huberdeau trade. So I’m just gonna shut my silly mouth and let Zito cook

  3. He must have a plan because today was a little light given what we lost on the D. I guess I don’t know who we have in Charlotte who may be ready to step up. I wonder if Okposo is going to stay now.
