  1. He’s from Port Huron. He’ll be in Grand Rapids. Maybe he can turn it around. Maybe not. If not then it didn’t cost us anything really.

  2. It's not going to be a big deal. I be surprised if he even see NHL ice. He'll go down to work with Cossa, like Hutchinson did last season.

  3. A team can never have enough goalies with some nhl experience even if you have to keep them on the farm team.

  4. Its a low risk signing and honestly i think jack can still be a backup in the nhl, remember when Campbell stunk last year, edm's defense was hot garbage(which is putting it lightly). I believe that Jack will play in grand rapids but could be a low key good call up. I like the move, absolutely no downside with this signing and he's easy to burry in the minors.

  5. I do not like the stats of the player, but 1 year at league minimum, that is a vastly better deal than what Edmonton had him at and if he looks more like his Toronto self than his Edmonton self that is a good signing, but I am not holding out hope on that. Regardless, league minimum is far less cap hit to bury that $5M.

  6. I don’t see why people are freaking out about it. He’s from Michigan, it’s a 1 year deal at less than 1mil.
At worst: he cannot hang in the AHL and his career is over after this season
At best: he revitalizes his career and can be a solid NHLer again on a bargain contract.
Most likely: He’s going to be backing up Cossa in Grand Rapids

  7. I'm not a Detroit fan,but I bet ya that Cambell has a good year with Detroit. He is an American goalie,he is going to want to play in the states, easier to see his family.

  8. I have lost all faith in Steve Yzerman I have no idea what this guy is doing. Bringing in clowns. Holl last year Jack Campbell, and Gustafson this year, what the f man!!

  9. They got Cossa. Alright, but he has 5 more years simmering away in Grand Rapids until he matures. 🤔😎😭.😮

  10. its hilarious i was joking about thinking the wings signed Jonas Gustavsson who retired 5 years ago,,, but then they signed 2 goalies who make me wish they signed Gustavsson…..what is with Yzermans deal and low level NHL tendys, cuz whatever brilliant idea he thought he had,,, it was wrong(Ned)….then it was wrong again(Husso)….then it was wrong again(Lyon/Reimer). 4th times the charm tho…..

Realistically tho this shouldnt matter, cuz this is the year both Cossa/Augustine could/should be arriving,,, and the wings only need 1 of those 2guys to hit and we gucci for a decade, and surely they both cant miss. I personally am very confident in Augustine having watched him many times, and seeing him have good results at this years WC vs pro-level competition. An NHL debut in 2024 would be a bit of an acceleration of his development, but I think it is merited at this point, however if he starts the year in the NCAA I guess it basically becomes moot.

  11. Best case scenario is he rebounds back to his form from when he was with the Leafs then Yzerman trades him at the deadline. Worst case scenario is that he continues to stink and the Wings continue to pay him league minimum to play in the AHL.

  12. You know who's going to benefit from these signings? Toledo! Stevie's flooding GR with so many "iffy" players that they won't know what to do with them. Let's Go Walleye? I guess…..

  13. Silly, immature video header/screen captioning, here, something that seems to be becoming a trend on this channel.

Hmmm, let me see, Steve Yzerman's GM judgement, based on a lifetime immersed in pro-hockey OR yours🤔? Well, I think I know who I'll go with, here: not sure about your other viewers, though, of course.

  14. You gotta think Toronto and Edmonton's defense were pretty brutal in these days.
Plus Yzerman likes to revive your career.and confidence. And it's a gamble, it might pay out. It might be a good thing for him to go down toThe Grand Rapids rebuild his confiden and career that he could be a backup cossa or vice aversa.

  15. Awesomeness, @legorocks99
Keep up the great work with the videos.
Also, what's the name of the website you're using. So many stats 😊

  16. Campbell signing a league minimum deal to play mostly in GR or even in Toledo (let's face it, it's not exactly outside the realm of possibility) isn't a bad thing. Worst case scenario, he can demonstrate for Cossa how not to play…

  17. He is obviously going to GR or if he has a huge bounce back could play backup. For $775,000 is a very low risk deal. Nothing at all to get excited about either way.

  18. no problem with the signing, GR needed another goalie with the worst case he still sucks, best case he revives his carrier and helps GR, Cossa and maybe even the Wings.

  19. k im starting to scratch my head at yzerman a bit.. I dont think were mad about this but more so upset they we let all the big name free agents slip away. We want superstars not mid level players.

  20. I'm fine with less than a mil for a hometown kid who had a bad year playing in an at-the-time failing system. Still think Lyon/Talbot should be a perfectly serviceable 1A/B pairing, but always good to have fallbacks.

  21. It’s crazy. Last year people were complaining about none of the rookies being called up. Now it feels like 2-3 are being called up and opening a roster spot for them and replacing the gap at Grand Rapids now and people are upset. If yzerman made big moves. There wouldn’t be any space for these kids. And if they got called up and left a huge hole in Grand Rapids. The other young players would have no one to play with that has experience.

  22. He’s a wreck, thrown on the pile of many players. Fortunately, he was signed by DRW. If anyone can redo his career, the GRG coaches can help him. I don’t know if Chris Osgood is around, but would it not be smart to hire him as a special consultant, and work with all of these young goalies? Sometimes it is just a ‘back of the mind’ adjustment that gets a guy back on track. Jack is still young. Pamper him a bit!

  23. I laugh eveytime I see a WTF and Yzerman in the same video title. Then I remember how easy it is to go back and look at their WTF's when Steve Yzerman selected Moritz Seider.
