The display cups at a cafe marked Small – Medium – Large

Man, we have 3 cornerstone players for the amount of $23.325M for the next 5-6 years.

    Haha!! I love it!

Brilliant work on the cap front for Jeff Gorton/Kent Hughes and management.

This is a fucking team!!!!! Lets go!!

    Playoffs this year.

    Cup by 28/29

  13. This how you build a *team*, and not simply a display case for a few players.

Get everybody to buy in a “I’ll leave some money on the table for the next guy” model, until you have a stacked lineup that can win against anyone.

Call me a cynic, but 77 points career high, 65 career high points and 50 career high points. There’s a lot of trust placed into these guys that they will develop and grow their game. These contracts can look pretty bleak in a couple of years

Getting a Les Frères Daulton vibe 😂

  16. And this is why u pick up character guys who care more about winning championships than anything else.

  17. Sourlick_Sweet_001

The Captain traces the line. And that shows the commitment and the bonding between those guys. That’s Awesome. 🙂

Those cap hits are going to look like ridiculously good value in the years to come.

    Hell, they’re already good value.

Props to the management in creating an environment where players care for the team and aren’t just chasing contracts. That’s how you build a team, not by giving a few guy double-digit contracts and trying to make them happy.

Seems pretty cheap, to win 9 cups from 2025 to 2033!

    ^^^^I’d ^^^^be ^^^^happy ^^^^with ^^^^just ^^^^one

Crazy how we’ve gone from an org that talks about CHaracter all the time without actually backing that up, to one that legitimately just *keeps* bringing incredible people onboard (not just the players too) – and clearly has everyone fully bought in to this thing. I’m seeing lots of folks out there starting to wake up to what’s building in Montréal, I think people outside the Habs world are noticing how Hughes and Gorton, and the whole team, are doing things – it’s pretty hard not to be super excited for the future. This is the way the most storied franchise in hockey should be run.

Like this, more worried about Caulfield long term than Slafkovsky.
