I think you need to clarify – are you talking about ethnic Russians, Russian nationals (or ex-nationals) or both. Deniss Vasiljevs is ethnically Russian, but he's not 'from an immigrant family' – Latvia was part of the USSR when his parents were born. it is like saying Czechs born in Slovakia when they both were one country are 'immigrants'.
