Wow brutal. Just like the tarasenko trade we get nothing. I don’t have faith in Staios. He takes too long to make decisions and we get screwed in my opinion.

Not impressed. Sens had a lousy draft and feel slow footed on the trade front. Trading at the height of free agency is terrible timing and you’re almost guaranteed to get a low return considering everyone is counting their pennies.

caps fan, caps are making up for the pld deal with several signings, we may squeak in playoffs again….maybe pld works out as well., i expect ottawa to fight with us for wildcard spot so i like this even more assuming we dont score much again. for what it's worth Jensen is so solid on fourth line a good player tough checker and our best faceoff man,..

Pens sign bum Graves when they could of got Chycrun. Dubas and Ottawa's GM stink. At least the Caps are trying with PLD, Chycrun, and Mangianpane. Pens throw in the towel. The Caps GM is at work. Congrats Caps on the effort. Ottawa's GM is laughable. Why? Jensen is a bum.

Make no sense
This trade is fine- sens had zero chance to sign chychrun. They don’t have the cap room and he doesn’t fit into the organization seeing as he’s the 3rd best LD on the team but probably wants 7-8aav on his next deal. They brought in a veteran who fills an organizational need and improves their slotting. Personally would rather have seen them move chabot – still possible though as both players being moved should be a priority

Yet another backwards move by my Senators. God dammit. We traded away a 1st round pick, a conditional 2nd and another 2nd round pick in 2026 for Chychrun in the first place and all we get back is a middle defender who is no better than he is and a 3rd rounder? Just terrible. Chychrun may have been American born but his family is actually from Ottawa so he had strong ties here and we go and trade away a fan favorite for yet another American with no ties here and who probably doesn't want to be here anyways.
I understand that we weren't deep at RHD but if you were going to trade for one like this than why not take Sam Dickinson in the draft over Carter Yakemchuck as he was the better prospect?
My God this team does NOT understand draft capital at all and has no concept of who to bring into this market. Every other NHL team has Senators GM Staois' phone number on speed dial. I guess the next logical question is when does Captain Brady Tkachuk demand a trade out of this hockey wasteland? Cheers from Ottawa🍁
