  1. Kuds (KK) and Elias Petterson (the defensemen) represent a massive change in approach on the blueline.

These two guys look like defensemen that will be able to defend in their own end in the NHL

Benning was always searching for the elusive offensive defenseman throughout his era, finally producing Quinn Hughes and

    Jack Rathbone.

Bennings swings for more defensive oriented defenseman were mostly fails, like Juolevi and Woo.

  2. Overall, the Canucks appear to have landed some prospects that have fallen in the draft. The hopeful side of me feel they have landed a few diamonds in the rough that other teams have overlooked, but the darker side of me feel if 31 other teams are passing on these guys, there must be a reason. At the end of the day, the entry draft is always a hit and miss – tough to evaluate how they do too quickly… now, let's just hope they will actually be able to pull the trigger and get some great return for Miller.

  3. Holy, so many people turning on management already, I get it, everyone fantasized about an amazing trade return for Miller and nothing happened. Boo hoo, pretty experienced group here and if a trade didn't happen then I believe the offers were underwhelming and they weren't interested in being put over a barrel. Reality is any trade made for Miller is going to make us worse for a couple yrs not better cuz the only way a team trades for Miller is if they improve despite the subtraction of traded players. That being said every team is well aware of the importance of having good young prospects in their system for the future and cap management and thus in a trade like this they're going to try to trade off prospects who are trending in the realm of bust rather then ones who are looking very much on track development wise. Nobody is out to do the canucks any favours. If that's the case and I believe it is, good on them and job well done for not caving to the other gm's, the media and the fans. Better off to keep Miller and be more competitive now and try to work out an extension. Can't get one then trade him at the deadline. Don't need to get worse now cuz we panic trade him and not improve in the future cuz we took a bunch of failed prospects and late round picks
