Yikes at that contract
2 years at 4.5 is what he made here guys. Come on guys. Critical thinking skills.
He can’t keep getting away with the same AAV!
They will just play him on the PP, could be a good goal scorer for them
Lmfao at JFresh’s tweet about this:
[Victor Olofsson, signed 1x$1.1M by VGK, is a pure scoring winger who doesn’t do much of anything else and also did not score last season.](https://x.com/jfreshhockey/status/1808175876481163490?s=46&t=A9g-Am0a5jCjDIuzDBhpHw)
Always wondered how good that shot really was that Dahlin was talking about until the RJ banner night when he scored on a one T against the Preds… holy fuck. If this guy could’ve tried to put together a defensive game he would’ve been an all time 7th round pick great. He’s going to get buried in VGK bottom 6 maybe play 2nd PP and take some of those Marchessault goals for 1/5th of the price. Smart move for them.
Happy for Vic but 1) Fuck Vegas and 2) how can they of all teams afford to pay him 5M and still allegedly be in the Marner sweepstakes ?
Edit: I’m dumb, thought title was referring to his current deal
Had so much hope that he couldve found consistency here from all those hot flashes he had. Hope he does good on Vegas
The curse is lifted
Where’s the folks who were pounding the table telling me that Olofsson had significant value as a trade asset at a $4.5m cap hit at the deadline?
Damn I guess his value just totally tanked between then and now if this is all he could get on the open market! Wow!
fucking GMKA missed out selling high when a lot of us were saying last off-season
He’s gunna pot 40 next year cause fuck U.S. that’s why
Good thing we never traded him when his value was at its highest, and I argued with countless people here that he needed to be traded.
People bitch about Skinner but did anyone ever watch him play?
He’s a luxury and can be useful and have a role on a contending team. A team like Buffalo he made no sense, especially given he had great trade value a few years back.
Another mismanaged asset by this team who waited until they had nothing of value (this trade deadline), then rightfully got nothing.
Good riddance
