Mark Kastelic SHOCKED by Trade to Bruins | FULL Press Conference
uh just wanted to get what was your reaction to the to the trade and what if any has the uh the Boston staff kind of said your your role might be here yeah I think uh at first I was obviously pretty shocked um I think it it was right before game seven and kind of wasn’t expecting anything at all and uh got the call that everything kind of was going down uh uh obviously was a little bit sad to leave uh my teammates and that City but then that kind of started to go away pretty quickly and I was just filled with ton of excitement to join Boston and join that team and for nothing but good things about everybody there and um I think so far just expectations are kind of similar to what I’ve been in the past as just a bottom six type guy um I think good on draws type stuff bring a lot of physicality element to the lineup and I think that’s kind of the expectation for right now but I think as any player you kind of want to try to improve and grow and do whatever you can to kind of work your way up the lineup and just be a guy that can play anywhere up and down the lineup and play center play wing and just be good on draws and a good reliable allaround player thank you y thank you we’ll go next to mapa tour hey Mark uh welcome to Boston thank you You’ been around uh Unis um for for him coming here you you guys coming here together and things you feel like that this is a good situation for for him kind of to get a a uh a restart a little bit to to uh guy who’s been a better goalie than maybe he showed last year yeah I think we’re both definitely super excited to get a fresh start and join a team that’s you know proven in the past and has had a lot of success recently and um I think it’s a great situation for both of us to come in and kind of uh get a fresh start and kind of uh grow our games and improve on last season because I don’t think we both had maybe the years we had hoped and um but now like I think we’re just both excited to get to Boston meet the coaching staff kind of just get some new voices and new opinions and just learn from a bunch of different guys and improve our games and know I think yeah for yonas it’s he’s he’s really excited and I think just both of us were thrilled to be in Boston and with that culture they have there and to join the group it’s going to be really fun year is that something that culture is kind of known around the league that people sit and talk about it a lot is it something that that that culture in Boston is is is pretty well well known yeah for sure I think the first thing everybody was telling me when I would talk to everybody about coming to Boston is how great the group is and how close they are and how good of a culture they have so I think like you said it’s pretty well known around the league by this point and you know just obviously the history and um with that organization going back 100 years now and um you know they’ve definitely do everything the right way so it’s as a player it’s really exciting to join that and all you want to do is try to just contribute in a positive way to it thank you thank you well go nice to Gil hi Mark H welcome to Boston thank you my question is to you is how it feels to go to an original six franchise in the history within the league it’s super exciting I think for me and my family and everyone around me uh I mean you see the be and they’re they’re just known worldwide and the amount of History they have with the organization and I mean for me it’s even special that my grandpa played for them for a little bit as well and um it’s just really exciting to play for original six and that’s something I think as a player you always dream about uh getting that opportunity in uh what better place and to join a team in Boston and uh just really excited to also to be back in the United States as an American Guy and um uh Boston’s a great City and they just uh you can’t really beat it so as an original six team and know I can’t just say it enough that how excited I am to join it and with the history they have and
Mark Kastelic told reporters he was shocked to hear he was traded to the Bruins: “I was filled with a ton of excitement to join Boston and be part of a team I’ve heard nothing but good things about. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Welcome 💛🖤
…and getting to meet some of the alumni. 😃
Congratulations
He was a big addition as much as he’s not a big deal he wins draws he’ll replace what we lost is nosek make that bottom 6 real good in the face off dot, even if he’s on wing, if we need a big face off and lindholm is unavailable he’s great to have in your own dzone that being said if he pitches in 15-20 points it’s good for me, I will say if we have some money left I wouldn’t be opposed to bringing in JVR on a 1 year 1 million dollar deal guy still can be a net front presence
The "physicality" is what we lacked in the playoffs, so welcome Mark! Btw, we will accept nothing but your absolute best in Boston. But if you give it, you'll be fully embraced by Bruins Nation. Now, let's go bring that Cup back home where it belongs! 🏒🏒🏒
Welcome Mark hope you can do a good job. Quit talking like a little simp and have some assertivness and confidence. Dont let us down.
Good acquisition
My kind of Bruin. Welcome
He sounds like he hates it.
