Oiler fans aren't happy about this talk of Bowman being considered for the GM's position. If the cover up of the Kyle Beech incident wasn't enough to disqualify Stan Bowman , his record & reputation is vastly overrated. If Oilers owner Daryl Katz hires Stan Bowman fans will boycott & it will be a public relations disaster. Smh.

As a Blackhawks fan it was shocking to hear what happened to Kyle Beach and others, and the terrible things that Quenneville, Bowman, MacIsaac, Cheveldayoff and others actively did to cover-up sexual assault and giving recommandations allowing the sexual assaults commited by the sick Brad Aldrich to continue amassing victims. To me, that is NEVER exuseable. I don’t think they should be allowed back until the couragous hero Kyle Beach and the other victims are comfortable with it. If that turns out to be never, I’m fine with that. Yes, these guys did amazing things to get my beloved Blackhawks their first Stanley Cups in my life-time, and to me, I think people should be given second chances, but they should never be allowed to get back into manegerial positions again, IMHO, and yes, I include Cheveldayoff in that group. I still cannot fathom why he was spared, based on what we know about what happened. I’m totally with you, TSH. That was really deflating and disappointing news to me too…

So, I've seen ridiculous comments, probably from the likes of muck tarts defending the return of Bowman, Quenneville and McIsaac ! One of these jackasses actually denied the cover up and went as far as comparing those bans to "cancel culture" presenting one of the worst cases of complete ignorance related to the actual facts of this wicked assault, as well as the literal meaning of "cancel culture"!!

I don't believe Lilligren is as bad as some make him out to be, I think he represents yet another player the team and fans unfairly stamped "future star" on his back which always comes with unrealistic expectations in Leaf Land.
Leaf fans are at the same time, have an above average understanding of the game players and positions, as well as unrelenting toward ANY player who isn't living up to their expectations! No player or position is immune to their wrath, remember when they drummed Larry Murphy out of town !?!
Another example of "Leaf fans" who pick up talking points off the net and around the proverbial "water cooler", who know close to ELZIPPO about the managerial situation on this team which never stops them from posting rediculous comments such as one I read today –
"Treliving is worse than Dubas"!!
Considering the abomination left in Dubas' wake where Tree comes in and tries his best to improve the team in the short window he had before the playoffs, with an empty "futures" cupboard and little to sweet eff all to show, and his version of the Leafs had ONE 2nd round win!!
Someone should take the time to work out how much the Leafs paid in money, prospects, picks, and lost talent who Dubas paid for with futures (prospects and picks) over hoi tenure and post the results. How much damage did Dubas cause with his "futures shmutures" lazefair attitude!!
How very considerate of Dubas to spend draft capital and prospects on talent he knew he could never resign, so other teams could get a real time look at all those potential signings and by the time UFA came rolling around teams had a near perfect idea of what they thought those UFAs value to their game was and how much they would pay, all THANKS TO POOBAS!!!!

Complete Bullshit! Sorry but it happened to me and a much younger age and my voice worked just fine. 18 isn't a kid and you don't make it to the NHL by yourself. He had plenty of people to turn to. Furthermore, your disappointment cause of someone else did the crime and your upset cause they are not being held accountable. For taking someone's word that they would deal with it, on a player who isn't on the team. So isn't around to remind you. Should have never been suspended in the first place.

This is where Mike (Top Shelf man) shows what a high quality human being he is. He's not just about hockey and he's 100% right the NHL is run by old school dinosaurs who need to go. Sexual assault is a violent criminal act that needs to be dealt with appropriately. Quinnville and Bowman did not take it seriously at all.
