  1. San Jose won big for getting both a legit stud centre and dman. Montreal won big for scooping Demidov.

  2. i cant believe it my cousin got drafted to his hometown team toronto, its mind boggiling that ben is now going to be playing there and soon a full time D. LETS GO

  3. I don't think I'll ever get used to utah being a team in the NHL. It just sounds off. Wisconsin should have got an expansion team years ago, already!

  4. Toronto should get STACKED with the best players and run teams over right up to hoisting the cup! It's the hockey capital! The hockey hall of fame is there, for Shoresy sake! EH?! COME ON, EH! Leave them in the dust, leafs!

  5. Montreal is drafting really well since Hughes took over as GM. I didn't hate Bergevin but Hughes as been great so far

  6. Early mocks I've seen Jiricek go in the top 10, so if he heals good, then it could be a steal for the blues. Also, i dont hate it because i wanted the player, too

  7. People need to realize that Wes Clark knows what he's doing. Was Ben Danford a reach? Probably. However, Wes Clark always knows who his guy is and is never afraid to take the guy he believes in. Until he lets us down, I trust his judgment. They did the same thing last year and it has paid off so far, so I'm fine with it. Plus, Ben Danford is elite defensively and has decent underlying playmaking numbers despite the lower point totals. Was it the conventional pick there? No. But Wes Clark has shown that he knows what he's doing when it comes to drafting and he wouldn't have went with Danford if he didn't see something in him.

  8. I think he MBN can be 30+-30 guy in the NHL. he's got a great shot. I think people are undervaluing him because of that 200ft player label. He is ALOT more than that.

  9. I really thought Demidov would be top 3, so I'm stoked Habs took him. Hughes' vision looks bright, starting in 1-2 years.

  10. I think Nygard is gonna surprise people, given how some are giving that pick a thumbs down for some reason. He's a solid forechecker who doesn't seem to hesitate to throw his weight around. Of course, that story has yet to be written, but with Wings alum in Sweden who'll undoubtedly be working with him, I can't see a scenario where he isn't on our second line in a few years.

  11. Congratulations, Montreal fans. You guys got the prospect I wanted for sure! I actually think he went where he probably should have. It'll be interesting to see if he gets a chance to play in the KHL. I'd like to see what he'd do in a serious league because he was absolutely bum-slaying in the MHL.

  12. The draft was almost a dream come true when i seen eiserman was falling i was hoping he would go to the habs but i originally wanted hage thinking eiserman would be gone by then anyways but demigod and hage was a great draft by the habs super excited

  13. Carter yakemchuk and I played against eachother in minor hockey all the way to the AAA level. He’s an absolute beast. Was really hoping he would fall to the flames because he is an oiler fan, would have been perfect

  14. Habs blow it again ,when are the fans gonna revolt against these losers picking players that can't play NHL

  15. Montreal had the best draft of any team, Chicago's draft was disappointing. Way to get Bedard some help Kyle from Chicago.

  16. Try being a DucksFan…Verbeek putting us through Murray era 2.0..neither selection was "Great"….just waiting for him to give Gibson and Zegras away for not much..

  17. Solberg jumped alot due to the Norwegian playoff where he dominated and a good World Championship. Going with 9 points in 17 playoff games, where he had 15 points in 42 games during the seasons.

  18. Martin St. Louis is a loser coach again finishing 5th last, Michkov refused to play for Montreal, good for him and now will play for Philadelphia 2024-2025. Canucks could have had Michcov or Bedard if they would just have tanked. Vancouver was 3rd last in February then started winnig, why Tochett? Didnt want Bedard or Michkov?

  19. Keep sleeping on Catton guys (not you Nyquist) hes staying on Washington and is going to feed families in Seattle💥

  20. Im from montreal and i have to say thanks anaheim and colombus !!! We were the one making those weird pick before so from the bottom of my heart thank you

  21. Obviously Sennecke going third was a surprise. But some guys were saying he could sneak into the top five. I guess the more shocking part of it was that he went before Demidov. AND Lindstrom. But the latter is obviously less surprising than the former.

Other than that the only things that I found actually were surprising how the aforementioned Demidov dropped, and how Buium dropped. Im especially surprised Dickinson went before him. MANY people thought Buium was the best D in the draft. And I believe he was the fifth D taken. Just goes to show how coveted right shot D are. And how coveted size is (Silayev).

I guess I’m also surprised Teddy Stiga didn’t go until well into the second round. I really like his game. The scouching guys had him ranked 5th or 6th. Which I thought was absurd. But he was DEF a first round quality prospect imo.

Anyway, it was an entertaining draft. There were SEVERAL picks that had me going, “WHO?!” And that’s lots of fun, I think. Lol

  22. Ducks did what the flyers should have done in 2017. When you like a guy, just pick him. I think Sennecke is the joker here. He’s the kind of guy you see picked in later rounds and say how was he not picked earlier.
