I was getting worried with Holloway possibly being a top 6 next season but I think we gotta play him on that third line and form him into the Skinner replacement after next season. Nuge-McD-Hyman, Skinner-Drai Arv, Holloway-McLeod-Kane?, Janmark-Ryan-Brown. Best forward group by a country mile.

I really wish Jeff Jackson wanted the GM job, because he just gave us the best Free Agent Frenzy day we’ve had in a long while!! Skinner and Arvidsson are fantastic additions and like you said, now we just need a top 4 D-man, probably via trade. Also, Stan Bowman is not f*****g welcome here!! Jackson better not do that or this fan base will riot
With all Nashville did today, I wouldn't be too quick to move on from Kane.

I think Ceci is gone. We will keep broberg in the top 4. Then I can see our bottom park ring being Kulak with Brown/Stecher. I honestly thought Broberg was awesome in the playoffs.

As a fan who is used to meh to okay free agent days, today was a banger by JJ. Exciting stuff.
As of posting this we just signed Henrique to 2x$3m! That Janmark-Henrique-Brown line is intact!!!
The fact that we've added Skinner AND Arvidsson for a combined $7 is insane. That should greatly boost our 5v5 scoring.
This is such a good day for the Oilers. Good contract to Henrique and Stecher. Good signings in Brown's and Skinner. And wow. Stu at 3 million. Perry at 1.4 million and Janmark at 1.45 million are absolutely steals too. Not a single bad move. I think if Arvidsson is healthy. He's a 30 goal maybe even 40 goal guy if he plays a whole 82 games. I think Proberg and Holloway could honestly get moved. Not due to them getting too much money but more to WIN NOW in 2025.

Jeff Skinner plays a lot like McDavid does. He’s just smaller & older. He could easily be a 50 goal scorer on this team. It’s stunning he’s played 1000+ regular season games & not 1 playoff game in his career.

I bet Skinner is going to make an impressive impact with the Oilers. As a Sabres fan he will be missed. Oilers are my 4th favorite team so I am still excited to see what happens.
I actually don't mind this signing. It's fairly low risk. It could blow up in their face, or, it could pay massive dividends, depending how well he meshes with his linemates.
In any case, I think Skinner is still worth the risk at this cap hit, and I hope he finds a new stride in Edmonton. 🍻
Amazing day for the Oilers!!! Also resigned Henrique late tonight 2×3 AAV. Reunited the third line from the playoffs! Now we actually have an issue. Remaining are Holloway, McLeod, Ryan, Perry and Kane for the fourth line. We also have two too many dmen with what the Oilers did today. We need to make some trades for draft picks. Signing Stetcher I guess was a need for R Dman. So Ceci and Kulak are probably going to be moved assuming Broberg stays up and Stetcher stays up also? Forwards if Kane goes on LTIR we have one forward odd man out. Does McLeod go to Bakersfield? Does Derek Ryan retire?
Need Hollywood.. Amazing second line up would be Victor, Dri and Hollywood
Thanks for pointing out the comments by knobs being addressed in some of these moves. I JUST was making that point elsewhere. Feels like great moves before Drai's negotiations.

Now that there is 2 skinners, and 2 Browns, after today, how will the jersey's be labeled? is there a rule or a protocol? Maybe the 2 skinners can vary it in that one is a skater one goalie, but the browns are both skaters.
