Bennett runs into Skinner, no call – Have your say!

Sam Bennett ran into Stuart Skinner and knocked him over. There’s bo doubt Skinner slides out to the top of the crease, but does Bennett take advantage of that fact and lean into it? Have your say!

  1. Absolute bullshit there was no call on that play and the oilers with too many men on the ice to balance it out , what the hell 🤷🏻‍♂️

  2. 100% interference. How does Hyman get an interference penalty when a guy runs into him, but Bennett literally takes out Skinner on purpose and no penalty.

  3. 9 & 19, two of the biggest douche’s in the game. Pretty sure they are ordered that way, otherwise they’d get water bottles thrown at them.

  4. Bottom line, Skinner was in his crease totally in the blue paint, Bennett skated into the blue paint and hit him. Typical Bennett move and typical no call by the refs!!

  5. Looks like this is all on Skinner, because he did a Pick.
    Rule 56. Interference.

A “pick” is the action of a player who checks an opponent who is not in possession of the puck and is unaware of the impending check/hit. A player who is aware of an impending hit, not deemed to be a legal “battle for the puck,” may not be interfered with by a player or goalkeeper delivering a “pick.” A player delivering a “pick” is one who moves into an opponent’s path without initially having body position,

    (i) On a player who interferes with or impedes the progress of an opponent who is not in possession of the puck; (ii) On a player who restrains an opponent who is attempting to “forecheck”;

Now if you want to know what the NHL defines as a player I found that for you because I'm sure you'd use the argument that player does not mean goalie.

"Eligible Players – A team shall be composed of 20 players (18 skaters and two goalkeepers) who shall be under contract to the Club they represent. For the purposes of these playing rules, any reference to “player” shall refer to both skaters and goalkeepers. Any reference to “goalkeeper” shall mean that the section of the rule is specific to goalkeepers."

  6. Oilers have has refs look the other way since the start of the palyoffs. Bettman does not want a Cansdian team to ever win the cup again. He came in 1993, no cup up north since. Hmmmm

  7. If this isn’t going to be called then I just want an explanation. It’s just a dumb needless play that does nothing but get us fans upset online

Presumably if somehow it leads to an immediate Panthers goal then it gets overturned.
If it goes like it did where there was 0 impact on the play other than the only reason for Bennett to out himself in that position is the potential for it to cause injury/discomfort to Skinner

  8. Shows how dirty the Panthers are …. I saw that and wondered the same thing…..
They try and intimidate you…..they did the same thing to the Rangers
    Go Oilers 😎👏🖖🍩💪👌🤘🇺🇸👋🏆

  9. You guys do see Skinner interfere there right….. Skinner should focus more….. not the best in the league

  10. If the Oilers are going to win the cup they have to beat the Panthers AND the referees.

  11. I feel like an argument could be made for either side. However calling the refs bias and then continuing to watch and pay NHL money through subscriptions achieves nothing. If you truely beleve they are bias stop watching hockey because we'd be doomed to fail anyway.

  12. Definitely goal tender interference but Skinner embellishments curve that call . So they let it go. Instead calling 1-1
