What immediately struck me is that Cayden 1) just seems like a good dude with a good attitude and 2) he’s mature for his age. These are things that don’t really get talked about pre-draft but are important in the long run.

Cayden stressed about “learning” or “understanding” quite a lot. I like when highly touted young guys do that in any sport, shows he understands his youth and inexperience. That is something you don’t learn just by being good at hockey, I’m pretty impressed with him in a short sample size as a Jacket.
Lindstrom seems to expect way more of himself than I think most of us are right now but he still seems very humble and grounded about everything and is trying to take everything day by day and moment by moment which I appreciate. He seems very authentic when he’s talking about his upbringing and very self aware about needing to improve his game and working to be the best player he can be. I can’t wait to see what he brings in a few years if this is how he’s expressing himself at 18.

Q: “Gavin, what brought you back to development camp?”
A: “To tell the truth, I didn’t really have a choice.”
Sure hope Cayden comes back to the Tigers this year, he can be dominant for sure
