  1. I'd put Reinbacher on the 2nd pair with Hutson (once Matheson is gone). I'd put Mailloux on the 1st pairing with Guhle.

  2. Real fans accepted him, it was the bandwagon fans that hated him , the so called fans that follow the game as much as they follow Afghanistan politics

  3. Despite Kaprizov being an 100pts player. The Wild missed the playoffs because they do not have a Reinbacher quality defensemen in their line up. As simple as that.

Reinbacher+Demidov is 100% the best combination from both drafts. I think there is a discussion with a Levchunov+Michkov, but Levchunov was picked earlier, Habs did not have a shot at him.

  4. Of course Demidov and Mitchkov would have beed killer. But the catastrophic decision is irreversible and we have to accept Reinbacker, and not make him feel that it is his fault. He is just a well intentioned kid who did his best, and got cought in some bizarre political plot to skip on the Russian player (it is the only reason that can explain this totally illogical and flat out stupid move). Reinbacker will always feel that he is a deception to the fans, he knows that Michkov should have been the one.. he's not stupid.., and this is a heavy weight to carry, the fans will never really be happy about him. If I was him, I would ask to be traded to an organization were he will be free to just be himself and not having to say "sorry you got me".. If I was his agent I would advise him to do it. Look at Reinbacker's face during interviews. This isn't a happy confident kid. He is serious and nervous, he doesn't feel that he is deserving. David if you read this, remember that you ow nothing to the Montreal Canadiens. Your job is to be happy and successful. You can still do it, the fans will understand. Go to another organization who will be thrilled to have you on tue team.

  5. To be honest, I could have lived with a combo Michkov + Demidov and make a trade to get a mid pair RH defensement.
I'm not gonna throw rocks at Reinbacher, first because he has been picked so he didn't chose anything, second because he hasn't played in the NHL yet… but still… I can't believe that having Reinbacher + Demidov is better than Michkov + Demidov.

  6. Im glad they picked Demidov so everyone can zip it about Michkov, sick of hearing about Michkov.

That probably take some pressure off Reinbacher's shoulders, knowing that

  7. The right handed preference would also apply to Levshunov in this year's draft, let's say Levshunov is a lefty, does he still go to the Hawks ? I doubt it ! Levshunov is really good, but is he the best dman in the 2024 draft ? Im not sure ! So yeah, the NHL teams love big mobile righty dmen, it not only about the best player available, draft for position is always a thing too

  8. It makes me happy to see that Reinbacher is underestimated for his offensive qualities and his offensive potential. Those who understand hockey well will have noticed his intelligence, his calm and his maturity in controlling the puck.
👉🏻 Drafting for need with « a future vision » is not a sin if it is to build a balanced and potentially champion team. Ask Edmonton or Toronto if having a balanced team would be desirable???

  9. Most fans dont look at all aspects of a player. They dont get to see all that management sees. Personality, love for the game, desire to play in Mtl, work ethic, humility, etc etc. I think Mtl is putting together a great team with young talent that puts a bonus on being a good human being along with a high level of talent.

  10. People clearly dont understand how much better your team gets when you have a defenseman that can play 25 minutes and consistently make that great first pass. He is going to help Montreals transition game for years to come

  11. Big picture is habs getting the d-core set now to fill out the rest of the line up with great forwards in the great chase for the cup

  12. I think his value (reinbacher ) is heightened do to his position. Look where Yakemchuk got drafted. The only player with a similar profile to him in the first round was Levshunov and where did he get picked ? Is Yakemchuk better than or considered to have more potential than buium, Parekh or Sam Dickinson ? No but RD big mobile defenseman are a minority premium that is hard to come by so they get a little bit of an algorithm bonus imo. I can gaurentee you when it comes to trading for a top 6 forward the two players teams will be asking for as compensation will be 1) reinbacher and 2) LM

  13. michkov only wanted to play in philly, he wanted to live in an impoverished dump full of crack heads and tent cities or maybe he just really likes rocky 🤔

  14. Prioritizing right hand D is not drafting for need. Right hand D are hard to find, making them more valuable prospects. Reinbacher was a great pick. Especially when you consider there were a ton of red flags when it came to Michkov. Also, it's better to take your defensive prospects before you offensive ones, as D men take longer to develop.

  15. They said the same with Slaf vs Wright. Wright got pick way later than anticipated. Mitchkov too. There's maybe some reasonning behind it…

  16. i have nothing but hate in my heart for u legorocks..u lie lie and speculate 4 videos of garbage pumped out evry day not vdieos nothing…u playing x box…10k per vid god bless i guess i never watch nymore bye

  17. The draft is the only thing to look forward to when you suffer the misery of a bottom-five finish. To pass on an exciting prospect for a boring, but essential prospect felt like a kick in the face. Kent Hughes did him no favours when he described his ceiling as a "D2". Better be if you're picking him top five. So, I understand why fans were upset. It's even worse when you're an older fan like me. You've seen decades of a team that seemed allergic to any offensive flash or excitement. Demidov getting drafted was the best thing that ever happened to David Reinbacher. All will be forgotten.

  18. The current management of the montreal canadiens have done so many good moves that they should get faith of the fanbase in the picks they make regardless of how we feel . This has been an almost picture perfect rebuild . Where have they really screwed up?
