Brilliant bit of business. Lock up the depth now. As the salary cap increases a player like Carrier will become more expensive.

We have to be eyeing a substantial trade, or there are retirements that haven’t been publicly announced, because by my count we now have approximately 9 third/fourth line forwards.

They gave him a no move clause for the first 5 years? I don’t understand why.
Most of the talk has been about Carrier as 4th line but I am wondering if joining Staal might make sense. Martinook’s scoring surge might mean a promotion and the return of Fast is a question mark as far as I have seen.

Full No Move Clause for a 29 year old 4th liner with an extensive injury history? You only get him for 40 games.
Perplexing contract. I don’t dislike the player I’m just confused as to what he is to deserve 6 years and a full NMC.
I assume Tulsky/Rod/etc is thinking “this is our perfect 4th liner” so they went all-in. I just wish he could stay healthy. The tougher the minutes he gets the more likely he is to get injured.

Solid guy according to Vegas fans and I could see covering for Fast if he can’t start the season. The contract is a bit long for a dude with and injury history but that was probably to keep the term low

I could see this guy becoming the signing we don’t think about much at the time but becomes a fan favorite like how Noesen was. Heavy engine, big hitter, apparently led Vegas in game winning goals the year they won the cup.
I’m looking forward to watching him as long as he can stay heay

Carrier has arrived
Murky-Perceptions
Late in the season He’ll be burnt toast, injured & slow. Good 4th line guy, hefty but old, The contract is baffling. But I hope theres a plan.
