As I told him on the Twitter. I will always respect the player even if I don't like the sweater. Not seeing him ever bull in a china shop over Thomas again makes me happy.
I don't mind the Krug signing at all as he's a Lefty so it makes a lot of sense. I still hate the Faulk deal and the 99% chance we're losing Pietrangelo. With all that said, this team is going to be worse. We have a log jam on the left side now.
I'm sad to see Krug leave Boston, but St. Louis is getting a gem of a special teams player. Blues fans are going to love him, so treat him well!
Krug is better on the power play.. which will force how other teams play against them St Louis just needs to add a 5th 6th type of of defenseman who specializes in killing penalties and they are good to go.
Years 6 and 7 of this deal will be pretty rough.
Krug said in his press conference after he was signed said Boston hadn’t offered him anything since last year and the were not close at all to a deal
I love Krug's play and his grit. Long contract. That 7 years is gonna haunt.
Bruins pulled their offer to Krug off the table 6 months ago. Don Sweeney has the nerve to say the organization prides itself on its communication with its players. Silence was his chosen mode of communication 🤔
Good for Krug but I think St. Louis paid to much for a good little defenseman but not an elite defenseman. Seven years is to long 4-5 would have been tops for me.
Those are legit a forwards numbers. I absolutely love him and will miss him here in Boston. But Don Sweeney screwed this up big time.

From what I heard Armstrong was offering Petro a pretty sweet contract with a big signing bonus but he still wanted more. Unfortunately this is kinda looking like another Pujols situation for STL fans but oh well. Petro and his agent may have misplayed this whole situation because now Vegas is the only team who is looking at him meaning they can probably get him relatively cheap

Krug is overrated. While it’s not a bad signing besides the length, Krug is really only effective on the power play. And he padded his points on a pp with Bergeron Marchand and pasternak the best trio in the league. Outside of the pp he’s not that effective and he’s super small. He has more career pp assists than regular assists which is crazy considering how much more ice time he plays 5 on 5. Hopefully he clicks with the St. Louis pp like in Boston.
It'll be really interesting seeing him with Parayko. The O'Reilly, Perron, Sanford line with Krug's passing and Parayko's slap shot.
Blues fan here and I would say Krug is a little bit better than Bobby Orr.
