Smart moves for the Flyers, especially with next year's draft and adding a pick for one spot with their pick guaranteed #StandWithDanny
I was a bit perturbed with the Luchenko pick, one reason he wasn't even on my r a dark for that pick, but after researching him a bit I understand the pick. He's fast as hell, good defensively and one of the youngest guys in the draft. He had a really good combine and Flyers think he will flourish this year offensively. We'll see…also they might have 3 1st next year and 3 2nds. I feel a trade will Be in the works
There are three high profile players that will define Briere/Jones.
#1 Matvei Michkov – looks like slam dunk. Drops to flyers in draft and Danny didn't blink and selects him.
#2 Jamie Drysdale – high risk. Cutter has that look of 30-40 goal scorer and Drysdale came into Philly lacking defensive instincts & technique. Still young and they have really good D coach. Has potentially to really smear Briere/Jones tenure.
#3 – Luchenko – most scouts had him as bottom/middle six player so taking him at #13 has look of major reach. He has speed which is something they badly need but as Briere said few weeks ago there is no room for any mistakes with first rounders over next two years.
We need two of the three to work out or this could get bumpy with extended rebuild.
Probably a huge mistake to pass on buium. That said, luchenko is basically "Berkly Catton at home." If his shot and stickhandling improve some he could be a great playmaking 2C. I guess we'll see.
Hope the Luchenko pick doesn't end up haunting Briere, like when the Eagles reached for the speedier Jalen Reagor over the more polished Justin Jefferson.

The amount of uneducated takes when the Habs picked Demidov is comical lol. Demidov has refused to sign a deal in the KHL. All the teams knew the kid was coming. Unlike Michkov. And to believe Reinbacher is terrible prospect is hilarious the kid dominated the AHL once he came over. I wish the Flyers dcore was built like the Habs 5/6 guys are 6’3 or taller all can fight and than they have Hutson… The flyers have a bunch of Midgets on that backend. Cause they want to be the 1954 Habs. And the conversation about Caufield and York is over. The flyers screwed up twice and should of taken Caufield. At least the Habs drafted a good defenseman when they passed on a offensive guru. Also Being mad about the Flyers not picking zeev but in the same podcast roasting montreal for taking Reinbacher is hilarious maybe the habs didnt want another midget on the team. Also Calgary is a much better city than Edmonton but Edmonton has a new stadium and Mcdavid and Calgary does not which is big for these guys. But again are you guys forgetting about cutter… like nobody wants to play in Philly either. Shit organization that is stuck in mediocracy, we havent won shit in like 50 years. I can see why we get shit on because we have these two blackberry torches speaking for us and roasting every franchise while we havent done shit. And also dont disrespect Saskatchewan they legitimately produce the most NHLers per capita in the world nice way to get these guys to sign with us. That area of Canada is highly regarded in the hockey world. There was one scout who said if a quebec kid was 5’10 had 120 points he would drop in the draft and if there was a kid who was 5’10 had 120 points and he was from Saskatchewan he would be a lottery pick. A bunch of Tough farm kids who live in one of the coldest regions in the world. One scout even said if Demidov was from Saskatchewan hes first overall when a scout uses a small populated province such as Saskatchewan to make a point you know all they do is produce good ass hockey players.
