Whether they belong in that exact spot I’m not sure but somewhere around there. The worst teams I’d hope would have the best prospects and the best teams would have the worst and according to the chart it basically checks out. I think we have 2-3 “guaranteed” guys that will eventually be full time NHL players.

Carolina being so consistently competitive each season while also maintaining a high end prospect is damn impressive. That said, most of it is from their stinginess in acquiring help at the deadline.

It’s definitely more pessimistic on us compared to other lists. Most have us around 20ish, although we probably dropped due to not having a 1st or 2nd round pick this year
Either way it’s expected for a team in its contention window with our cores current ages. Obviously Benning squandered the early years of this core (not contending or stockpiling prospects) but it is what it is now.
Just need to hope that some of later picks manage to become steals to counteract this. We picked a lot of high upside guys this year for that very reason.

Well usually we finish bottom 10 and have a bottom 10 prospect pool, so I’ll take a good team and a bottom 10 prospect pool all day long lmao

I think he’s massively underrating Willander. It will be interesting to see what Willander does with expanded opportunity next year.
I believe the author mostly relies on counting stats to assess prospects. This is fine for quick twitter hits, but it ignores a lot of attributes. This would also result in our 2023 draft being ranked low due to the “toolsy” focus (e.g. Vilmer Alriksson)

There’s nobody I take less seriously than Hockey Prospecting and other NHLe guys. Literally the ONLY factor for their “models” are point totals and they act like it’s some groundbreaking analysis. Bunch of frauds

We have one of the BEST goalie rankings in the league by virtue of the guy we signed from the A and Silovs. This shit isn’t well thought out.
Lekerimakki, Willander, and D-Petey should pump us up at at least 24-23rd and our goalies should be top 10 overall.
