  1. I’m still mad about not taking michkov BUT people gotta realize that there was a huge risk involved. His contract in Russia becoming terminated wasn’t known at the time of the draft last year and if it was then the habs wouldn’t have even had a chance to THINK of drafting him cause he’d be gone by 2nd or 3rd overall

  2. Hage is a great pick. I wonder if this now allows us to include either Beck or Kapanen into a bigger trade package to get an established top 6 player. Both their values are at a peak at the moment.

  3. I’m going to be shitting crow feathers for a week after the trolling I gave to Hab fans leading up to the draft. Montreal basically drafted my mock for the Blackhawks. 😖

  4. wish the cap would me cut by 50% its been over 10 years I did not go to see a habs game, I have 5 kids thats 7 tickets yeah I make over 200K but its way to expensive wow!

  5. Koivu is not really a big competitor and all that, but maybe hell be. Lets hope, well see !

  6. Hage! Maybe he'll be better pick than Boisvert, more than a consolation price: we received the jackpot, l may say ! Such a resilient guy too….sad for his dad!

  7. goeff molson should let the recruiters do their jobs , look at the interviews , they have a hard time explaining why they took him

  8. You know that Michkov and Demidov will be compared for the rest of their careers. The Russian the Habs passed on vs the one they took.

  9. Hage will be a more complete player than Eiserman. I would have picked Boisvert over Eiserman too, of course neither were available anyways. Hage, emotionally drained, struggled for the most of the first half of last season then kicked it up for the remainder of the season. Think about that, that second half projected over a full season. So Hage over Boisvert. Plus, there was a previous shoulder injury/surgery that really takes a couple years to fully recover and get back to form.
Like Xhekaj… Demidov, Hage, Koivu are passionate about playing in Montreal, which is invaluable to drive and dedication.
As for not getting Cole Hutson, one small Dman is enough. Lane, playing for Boston U., the games are scheduled late week/weekends, giving players ample time at the beginning of each week to work at beefing up. Lane chose not to and that speaks volumes and not in a good way. It's said his backwards skating defending the rush lacks, in 2 NHL games already looked like a defensive liability often chasing out of position and this guy will sooner or later get flattened. Hopefully he gets put in Laval for a season to address defense and adapting as a small defenseman. His offensive upside is too high to risk in a premature jump to the NHL.
Hopefully Demidov's knee/leg injuries have been assessed to be low risk in future concern. Said to be potentially the most elite talent coming to the Habs since Guy Lafleur, it's been a long time coming. Chicago desperately tried to get Columbus's pick to get him 4th, which would of gave the Habs a scoring power forward in Lindstrom but lesser puck-handling, playmaking skills and creativeness. Apparently Chicago wasn't concerned with Demidov's injury history either to give more faith.
I thinks this is the best start to finish draft in the Hughes/Gorton era. A potentially elite forward, another potential top 6, solid picks with Koivu and Sawyer, a two way hard hitting Dman and defensive Dman, two big power forward hopefuls, a goalie and a Russian that needs to pack on weight/muscle that they called "Demidov-lite". A+

  10. Moi je suis déçu qu'il on pas repêcher au moin un québécois il en avait des bon poirier se une bête pi toute les equipe vont regretterez d'avoir passer par dessus

  11. Good pick …but i want to know why the habs wernt on the Texier trade and the Alexander Holtz trade …columbus and jersey let them go for cheap man.. texier would of bin great to have on 3rd line with newhook and roy. Texoer and newhook would of bin an elctric penalty kill duo…and holtz is exactly what we are looking for in a young offensive talent that needs a change of scenary
