Nobody talks about the atlantic division being the hardest in the entire league. And it getting better by the year. No matter who they sign and who they draft playoffs are gonna be hard to make every year.

And since when is an every year improvement bad?? And yeah we should be ready for the playoff and we now have a pipeline of guys and assets to get better, but since he hasn't blown money or lied at his press conference or done dumb moves that would set us back years, he should be on the hot seat?? I understand that these talking heads have to create controversy to get views, but it’s getting hard to listen to, especially when people that have no business talking hockey are critiquing how the wings are being built. Yzerman has said the same thing at every press conference for years. Stop acting like children.

I have a solution for all the people who think that SY is not the guy for the job. Stop watching the Wings. I just love how people who have never even laced up skates, let alone played hockey are trying to tell you that SY is not doing a good job. SY has forgotten more about hockey than you will ever know, and you radio guy’s, just look at yourselfs. You can’t even shoot pool or go bowling without being out of breath. You people are laughable. Who did he pick the year after that? Simon Edvinsson.
He drafted that core talent while simultaneously getting the books right and constructing a team around that young talent that was 1 point from making the playoffs last year.
And you guys are suggesting if he didn’t have his name he’d be on the hot seat? Next time you all think about talking hockey maybe consider being quiet and bringing on a guest that actually knows something about the game. Detroit listeners deserve better.
