To be fair, he has been bleeding bleu-blanc-rouge since his draft, so I think that would be good to have him on both lists, considering the teams he has been on.
Sure his contract does not reflect his current production but he is a proper leader and seems well liked by his teammates, just have to look at the people present at his wedding.

Love Gally, he earned that contract and he can stay as long as he damn well pleases. I’d even be happy to give him another lower term and avv contact.

I lost so much respect for Gallagher after that cheap shot to Pelech in the Islanders game. Midway through the 3rd period, the Isles scored twice on the 5 minute major to tie the game, and he was suspended a further 5 games.
Not sure he’s the kind of leader or role model you want for the younger guys when he cost the team so much.
