  1. Hi, Jesse, Josh, and Family!
They are brining back hip checks. Oh, yeah, baby! I miss the old time hockey. Anti gravity you say. Hey that’s just like me. Beautiful! I’m another Xhekaj. Everyone walks away when I show up! I seem to repel everybody in my life. Sweet. Come on October 9th against Toronto. I’m going to really try to get there. Toronto is only about an hour away from Niagara Falls. I wonder how much the tickets will cost? I’ll pay anything! lol! Have a great night everyone! 😂🏒🥅

  2. Na not gonna happen! They already have 14 forwards so what do you do with Roy RHP Pez Armia Anderson Gallagher Evens! If it’s not a top six player forget about it

  3. They won't sign any free agents that prevents any of their young players from making the team. Its what Kent Hughes has repeatedly stated in interviews. We have one spot open in the top 6 that a free agent can grab and the bottom 6 is quite open. So I dunno about these free agents since they will demand some term which we can't give. We need to keep our spots open for the young guys. Next year is when I think Hughes will make some more aggressive moves since Carey Price's contract will be on its last year.

  4. No way. Give Roy a real chance on the 2nd line with Dach and Newhook. These free agents are not worth it. Then you re-evaluate later on.

  5. How is bringing in a player to take the spot available to Roy rewarding yiur team Jesse. None of the players you discussed would be helpful in any way. I do like what I've seen do far of Owen Protz.

  6. Hot take: 1 more year of sucking. Yeah it’s tough on morale, but two 1st round picks next year, a bunch of vets on expiring/short contracts you could trade at the deadline, and a pipeline of insane prospects who start being impactful in a couple years. No FAs please! No Sprong! When we compete for real, our young core will be the vets ready to lead.

  7. Hopefully, Hughes can make something happen on the trade market. Signing lower to low free agents will not move the needle. Waivers could yield the same talent.

  8. Don’t see RHP, Prez, Armia Evens with the team in two years, if not traded can probably see Gally and Anderson as possible buyouts

  9. Armia, Dvorak, Gallagher, Anderson, and we hope for Hughes to add another player who is taking the place of a young player (just for a playoff run) ? Nope 😮

  10. Great podcast as always guys. Sprong has played with 5 different teams in the past 6 years, any idea why? IMO that is a huge concern.

You mentioned, and all who follow Habs are aware there is a logjam at forward position with 4 to be UFA's after this coming season. So who does Sprong replace? Habs must maximize trade values by playing these players. Sending down a young player will not happen.

There is also the opportunity to see what Heineman, Mesar & Farrell, playing for Rocket, have to offer before the top prospects join Habs after next season. If everything Hugo are doing goes according to plan, this season will be the last for players to develop at NHL level so lets give the young guys a chance. The playoffs will not be happening this season.

  11. Speaking of Scott Stevens, he was a good defender, but very dirty whose mission was to hurt his opponents. He ended Lindros and Kariya's career. That was out of line extreme and unnecessary.

  12. 5'8 the Habs will grab him and welcome to smurfville, Kent gets so stiff over guys under 5'10 and then wonders why we are injured so much

  13. no we have what we need dont want other teams problems and if we need 20 goals put in a young guy and trade for young !!!!!

  14. They’re not going after Sprong and Johnson. Come on. Have you guys not been listening to ping to Hughes and Gorton?!?
