Nathan MacKinnon won the NHL’s Hart Memorial Trophy for the first time in his dominant career. The trophy is given “to the player adjudged to be the most valuable to his team.” and is voted on by members of the NHL Media. Nate Dog beat out Connor McDavid and Nikita Kucherov. MacK also won the Ted Lindsay Award, which is given out to the most valuable player as voted by other NHL players.
